Came here for National Cheeseburger Day on 9/18 where the Classic Double Smash was $5
Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 – both the Classic Double Smash and the Double Truffle Mushroom Swiss were quite salty that we didn’t get the flavor of all the ingredients. The bread absorbed a lot of the juice so it was a bit soggy. The cheese was melted completely (big plus!) and the other ingredients were extremely fresh so that was a plus. Both of us finished an entire cup of water, couldn’t tell if it was just a lot of salt or msg
Ambience: 4/5 – fast food joint that follows a floor plan so it’s very streamlined and calculated. One of the boards for the menu doesn’t work so we couldn’t see what sides were offered
Service: 4/5 – only one set of customer ahead of us but after taking their order they had to deliver food to the table outside so we waited. Consider having another server to help out the two flustered servers who seemed completely overwhelmed
Value for price: 4/5 – the deal for the day helped for value. Would recommend just the single patty for the mushroom swiss

Friendly staff and good service, but very overpriced especially for how tiny their burgers are. I’m glad I ordered the bigger size patty (6oz).
I STRONGLY recommend anyone trying them for the 1st time download the app and register even if you don’t end up liking it & uninstalling it. Current offer “FREE entre w/ purchase of side & drink” saved me over $9. Paying $15+ for this meal would be completely insulting.
Now as far as the food the burger was fresh except maybe the tomatoes (which were closer to cherry in size than beefsteak, about the size of a good Roma tomato but w/o the flavor). The bun was fresh but very small and too light. Best thing I can say is they actually used fresh jalopenos. Good not great guacamole, 1.5 small layers of fresh lettuce, and a couple small rings of onion.
As far as the Smash fries I’d give them 2-stars = skinny, mixed fresh and sitting around, but drenched in oil – they really should send their owner/founder to “That Pizza Place” in West L.A. to learn how to prepare seasoned fries. Finally their unsweetened tea isn’t as good as Carl’s Jr (Golden Peak). Edit- Just looked at the labels all (3) brewed at 10am, it’s now 7:30pm, all (3) are marked “1-day Hold Time” – REAL tea like China Mist has a 4-hr hold time, but I guess if they don’t sell enough to empty the pot in 9.5hrs nobody comes here for the tea.
So for the $6.50 I paid it was very good – I guess – but for $15.50 they’re crazy, I’d prefer Chili’s/Ruby’s/Island’s/even Denny’s.

Horrible; ordered burger here with no tomatoes and no pickles; some how they just added tomatoes and left out everything else; arrived home to this on a to go order; I feel robbed and cheated; place was pretty much empty how do you mess this up; I see whys it’s so empty now…

Believe the hype, it’s underrated. The shoe-string fries were so zesty-addictive-good, I almost forgot about my burger. The burger was delicious and the ingredients, including bun, were very fresh, definitely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I wish I had eaten here sooner!

Smashburger is a fantastic place for a good burger! They have a great selection of toppings & they will make your burger to order. For being a counter service restaurant they are a bit expensive but their quality more than makes up for the cost. Don’t miss out on the Brussels Sprouts!! They are delicious! Highly recommended!

It’s always good to enjoy a nice hamburger after a walk on the beach. Smashburger had a great burger well-seasoned. The staff was friendly and helpful. The onion strings were crispy and light. But the smash tots were great with some ketchup!

More like TRASH burger. Worst burger I’ve had in years. It was basically a ball of meat and salt. Didn’t taste fresh at all, rather recently thawed and boiled before cooking. Bun was a major disappointment. Burger fries and a shake took well over 33 minutes to make, but there were only two other customers. Staff were rude from start to finish. Store was so completely dirty that I had to ask for a table to be wiped down, which was done so reluctantly. Food runner was eating when I entered the store and didn’t wash his hands before returning to work, wearing a mask below his nose. When the meal finally got to me, I took ONE bite and spit it out due to how much salt it had. Asked for my money back and was given a horrible attitude by the manager who initially said she wouldn’t refund me but make it again. I declined that and demanded my money back. Got in the car and drove 10 minutes to the nearest In n Out.
