Hola! We are Catira! As one of the only Venezuelan restaurants in Colorado, we are proud to serve the core cuisine: tequeños, arepas, empanadas, cachapas. Think juicy meats, sweet plantains, fresh avocado, creamy garlic sauce, and a lot of cheese – plus a full bar! Inspired by the vibrant energy of the Caribbean, we’ve created a space that reflects both its culture and landscape. Hospitality in the Caribbean is more than a warm welcome—it’s a way of life. Guests are treated like old friends, meals are meant to be shared, and there’s always room for one more. We’re a perfect destination for a date night, casual lunch or happy hour. Our goal is simple: make you feel at home, no matter where you’re from. Nos vemos pronto! See you soon!

Food was good! Very minimal standing space for waiting and no clear guidance on how long you’ll wait. Even though a group came in after us and were sat at the bar, we waited probably 30 minutes for dinner.
I liked the empanada sampler, but I loved the classic plate 8.5/10 and the papelón con limón juice was delicious !
Asado negro was okay 7/10.

One word: cachapa! Never had these before coming here, but I’m obsessed and could probably eat these ones every day. A super buttery corn flour loaded with soft stretchy cheese, they’re the perfect combo of savory, salty, and a little bit sweet. You can get it with meat on the side as well, but I don’t think it’s really necessary.

Other things I’ve tried here so far are their arepas and mini empanadas. I thought both were good, though nothing too out of the ordinary. The shredded beef was really tough, but the shredded chicken is fantastic. Prices are also a bit high for the portions, but kind of to be expected in the area this is in. Must try for at least the cachapas!

This was such a fun place. Beautiful decor and delicious food. We were only able to try a couple drinks and shareables but it was all so good! The mango juice is yummy, tequenos great flavor and texture. Our standout was the chacapas! Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes, everything on the menu looks good! Also in this area plenty of free parking.

We stopped the grab dinner here one evening while visiting Denver and we weren’t disappointed. Nice cozy spot our server was very welcoming and gave us detailed information about menu items. Our first time trying Venezuelan food and we were impressed. We got the catira and non alcoholic mamacita both of these drinks were so refreshing. We got the tostones, the beef cachapa, blondie empanada and Clasica arepa with the chimichurri and guasacaca sauces all of the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

This has been the best Venezuelan restaurant experience I’ve had in the past 6 years. Manuel and Clare were the most wonderful hosts I’ve ever met, they welcomed us so warmly and truly made us feel at home, leaving us eager to come back. The tequeños were spectacular, the empanaditas absolutely delicious, and the passion fruit and mango margaritas were some of the best we’ve ever tried. The menu is simple, yet filled with great options.

If you want to enjoy a genuinely pleasant experience in every way, don’t hesitate to visit the best Venezuelan restaurant in Colorado. Special thanks to the entire WhereisNoa team for teleporting us to Venezuela through a one-of-a-kind Virtual Reality journey, a perfect combo of emotions and flavors I’ll never forget.

Wishing you continued success and blessings! ✨ Keep it up!

Nice spot, friendly and fast service. I only tried the Arepa (Clasica), but it was tasty and had good flavor. Prices felt reasonable. I plan to visit again and try other items on the menu.

I came to Catira on my last night visiting Denver after recommendations from a friend. Really fantastic experience and amazing food. Manuel and the staff were super welcoming and attentive. We had the Arepa Clásica, the Beef Cachapa, the seasonal Christmas Plantain platter and the tequeños. The atmosphere and the vibe of the place is just as great as the food!

The place is very clean and cozy. We were seated at the bar and the server was very attentive and fast with our drinks.
The “empanadas” as appetizers were tasty and crunchi!! I liked the “Caribeña”. The cachapas were DELICIOUS! the cheese was perfect and the cachapas had some whole grains of corn which made them really good. I ordered the cachapas with chicken and the portion was generous. I think the prices are appropriate to the location and are adjusted to the product they served.
The “maltin polar” was perfectly cold remembering my time as a kid at school.
You should try the Venezuela food at this place.. You will love it!!

Catira Venezuelan Kitchen in Denver is a true hidden gem that delivers big, bold flavors in the most satisfying way. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this is a place built on care, culture, and a genuine love for food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it easy to relax and enjoy the experience, whether you’re dining in or grabbing a quick bite. The flavors are outstanding and unmistakably Venezuelan. Every dish is layered with richness, balance, and authenticity, showcasing fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. From savory to slightly sweet, each bite feels intentional and comforting, the kind of food that makes you slow down and truly savor it. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in delivering dishes that honor tradition while still feeling approachable. One of the most pleasant surprises is the portion size. The plates are far more generous than you might expect, offering incredible value without sacrificing quality. You leave feeling completely satisfied, and often with leftovers, which is always a welcome bonus when the food is this good. It’s refreshing to discover a place like Catira Venezuelan Kitchen—unpretentious, flavorful, and consistently impressive. Finding a spot that delivers authentic taste, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere all at once isn’t easy, but Catira does it effortlessly.
