We passed this small spot on our way to Mesa Verde and wanted to try it. Unfortunately it was closed but decided we would on the way back. Hoping they would be open we pulled in ordered a Chicago dog, chili cheese, brat and pork tacos. We were glad we did everything was great and fresh tasting. The hotdogs had a nice snap to them along with great tasting toppings, the brat came in a pretzel bun that was perfect addition. The tacos themselves were one of the best tasting on the trip, the pork wasn’t dry at all and the coleslaw on them paired perfect to our surprise. Definitely won’t be disappointed if you’re wanting a quick good meal to keep on driving on the road. The food was great and the workers sincerely cared about how things were plus super nice.

Saw the sign, (Cheeseburgers!) and had to stop. It ( the cheeseburger) was in fact a perfectly prepared, absolutely delicious. It came prepared a certain way, don’t change a thing. Eat it just exactly like that. I will be back and try some of the other items next time. Yummers!

Went here last week over the holiday, definitely busy at lunch time. Got the pork taco duo and the frito pie, and I’ve never had tacos so delicious. Easily the best tacos I’ve ever eaten, took less than 5 minutes to get.

Came on here to Google to write a review, noticed they got a 1 star review, has to be one of the most unhelpful and off topic reviews I’ve ever seen.

It’s apparently a little challenging to find somewhere to eat in South Fork, at least that was our experience this time.

South Fork Eats is sort of a stationary food truck. The menu is simple: hamburgers, hot dogs, Guinness brats, and fries.

We had cheeseburgers and they were excellent. Their default is a double patty burger with their own sauce, but they’re not snobs. They’ll fix it however you like it. It’s not a monster burger, but you probably don’t need something the size of your head before you go bouncing off in a side by side or hiking for the rest of the day.

The fries are shoestring style and were just perfect. Hand-cut on-site right in front of you.

I was assured by a gentleman having a hotdog that they’re excellent. I was sorely tempted by the Guinness brats.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are covered picnic tables if you want to eat there. It rained while we ate and we stayed nice and dry. You came to the mountains to see the mountains, not to see how much rusty crap someone could nail to the wall of a decrepit hardware store turned restaurant.

The prices seemed reasonable compared to other options nearby.

Great food, great folks, and a beautiful place to eat. I highly recommend them.

I saw their sign that said “Hot Dogs” as I was passing through town and decided to stop. It’s a little food trailer with covered picnic tables next to it. I got the cheeseburger, fries and drink special with a chicago dog as well. All I can say is that my food was DELICIOUS! The burger was cooked perfectly, the cheese was nice and melty and the veggies were crisp and fresh. The chicago dog was outstanding as well. Super flavorful dog, and loaded with all the trimmings. The fries were super delicious as well. Do yourself a favor and stop here for a quick bite. You’ll be glad you did.

Saw the good reviews and we were looking for a lunch spot in the area. The food was very good– I got the tacos and they were very tasty and the sauce /salsa all was very fresh tasting (I might mention that if you don’t like a lot of sauce on your tacos you ask for less or on the side. The flavor was great but a little overpowering as there was more than I needed). The rest of the group got the hot dogs. There is a little table outside in the shade and it is a pretty spot to sit for a casual lunch.

What a great little place in South Fork!! Hot dogs are amazing and the tacos are just simply awesome!!! The combination of the sauces which are all made in the restaurant and the cilantro makes them perfect. Oh and DO NOT miss out on the Salsa, tomatoes are roasted on site and it is fantastic. This is a don’t miss when in South fork or just passing through. I actually had to make a trip back to get more after the first run and the fam wanted more!!!!

Looking for a hamburger but found this place that serves hotdogs, tacos among other items ( no hamburgers). The hot dogs were great and the service was very good as well. It is a walk up only. Leave your order and they will call you or come to your car to tell you order is ready. Homemade ships and salsa are good too.
