Joe’s steakhouse is just plain good food. We stopped by today for lunch on a beautiful afternoon and had lunch on the patio. The trees were blossoming and it was beautiful.
I had the buttermilk chicken sammich and others had the ribs and cheeseburger. All our food was served hot and fresh and was delicious. Give them a try.

5 stars on the shrimp and chorizo. Cinnamon cheesecake was a first. Food overall was good. Bring plenty of greenbacks.

Food was great and a plus for us we enjoyed it on the outdoor patio with our dog. They even provided a bowl with water for our furry friend. The patio is nice and spacious. Serve was very friandly would recommended it for family’s or if you want to go have a beer with your friends.

Tonight was our first time dining at Joes Steakhouse. As we all know; a dining experience is created through a combination of atmosphere, service and the food. Our experience was wonderful. The service was top notch! Our server Tabby has “all the right stuff” to make dining a real pleasure. She was
personable, professional. She is the type of server that leads patrons to return again and again. As for the food; it was great! We started off with the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer; they were very different and quite wonderful! One of the specials for tonight was fried chicken, and that’s what we ordered. The chicken was fried well and crispy, very good. The portion was impressive! I’m serious; it was like the amount one would pack for a couple people going on a picnic!! I guess we are lightweights because we ended up taking much of it home. But that’s good . Everything was wonderful! Stop by when your hungry; you won’t be disappointed!!!

we came in for dinner on a Saturday night and we’re quickly seated. Dinner started off with a delicious house salad with goat cheese (very tasty). My wife got the Skyline chicken. She really liked it and I had a little taste too it was very good. I ordered the prime rib. It came out piping hot, it was fantastic. I really enjoyed the peppered edge. Bring your appetite! Service was very good also. My kids got the kids pizza. They seemed to inhale it. Overall Nice place to eat. Thank you!

We usually have a great experience at Joe’s in Front Royal – good food and atmosphere. On this visit we brought a group that can be quite a handful. I will say that the staff there really adds to the dining experience. Our last visit, we had a wonderful server – Abby. Her bright smile, attentiveness and demeanor were outstanding! All around great service. Whoever may read this, please pass on my kudos, as they are rare in food service…thank you and we look forward to coming back soon!

I was expecting so much more from this beautiful restaurant! I gave it 2 stars for the beautiful decor. So let me explain.
My husband and I had spent the weekend in the area for my birthday. We saw Joe’s Steakhouse and thought it would be the perfect place for a early dinner before heading home. We arrived at 1:55. The staff advised us that they were preparing to break down the Sunday brunch buffet. Since we weren’t interested in the brunch, we were seated and given dinner menus. We placed our order right away and the staff continued the break down from brunch. Other patrons came in as we waited. After about 20 minutes our salads were brought to us. A couple that had come in after us had already been served their salads. Before we finished our salads, this other couple had received their meals. I noticed they had red potatoes on their plates, which I had asked for and was told I couldn’t get them until after 4pm. After waiting another 40 minutes and still not having our dinners I asked for our check. We had waited long enough. At this point the couple that came in after us had already finished their meal. By this time our server was finally on her way out with our meals. I told her I didn’t want them at that point and she said she would box them up to go for me. She discounted our meals, I paid for them and left. Since we were traveling, we had no way to eat them. When we finally were able to, the steaks were not prepared as we had requested. Both were rare. I asked for medium well, hubby likes well done. The steaks were so tough we couldn’t even eat them! I was so disappointed and feel as if it was not even worth what I ended up paying. Sorry to say, we will not be returning. I hope others have better experiences.

We have had a few good meals here, the staff was a bit off on both occasions. You can definitely see what they are trying for with the feel and fare of the restaurant but…fall a bit short.
Update: We decided to try the Brunch Buffet. Way over priced for what was being offered. If they actually put food on the bar…we may have been able to taste it. Won’t be trying this again.

Service was excellent. Atmosphere was unique, but very comfortable. Our waiter / bartender Andy was great.
We went for the NY strip steak. As we are steak fans, the steaks were nothing short of perfect.
Quality of the meat exceptional. Locally sourced.
I am picky with how my steak is to be cooked, and it was exactly how I wanted.
Do yourself a favor and stop in and get the NY strip.
