My husband and I came in from out of town and found this place online, we are from a small town and do not know the area at all. We decided to try it out after being rudely shot down by CV steak because we did not have reservations with them. I called about 15 min before we went in and they went ahead and reserved a table but we were able to get in right away which was around 7:30 p.m. I suggest if you go early during the dinner rush hour you reserve a table ahead of time. I thought the prices were a little high but the portions were big and the food was fantastic. My husband ordered the lobster ravioli and cleaned his plate. We also ordered the sauteed mushrooms for an appetizer and they were the best we ever had. I had the baked ziti which was delicious and had to take it home for leftovers because there was so much. The waiter was friendly and did a good job. All in all it was a nice experience.

We were all set to go into Carson City for a fine Italian restaurant we had gone to in the past. However a couple told us about this place and we thought we’d try it. We are SO glad we did. We had a wonderful, fresh, hot meal and unexpectedly got to take advantage of the early bird dinner special. The salad alone was above par. My halibut was fresh and piping hot. Side of wild rice was a delight. My wife’s chicken dish was wonderful as well. I’ve starred this place so we’ll remember to return on a future trip. Highly recommended!

A quick visit to Tahoe and a night in Carson Valley left me looking for some pasta or steak with my mother who was visiting from the east coast. Everybody here was SUPER NICE, the service was fast and they always kept my drink full. Portion sizes will fill you up and the place felt clean and welcoming. Thanks!

We were stopping on our way to Yosemite and mapped out “restaurants”. I felt like Italian food and came across Saletti’s. Great choice! The calamari appetizer was delicious and tender. I ordered the spaghetti alio with tomatoes and basil. Fresh and tasty. Do try the bolognese sauce. It was worth the taste. My husband had the 5 oz fillet which came out tender also and perfectly cooked. The scalloped potatoes were on the salty side for me, but hubby liked it. Our companion had the pasta primavera with sausage and was more than satisfied. We would definitely recommend this restaurant. Bobbi was an excellent server who gave us great recommendations on our choices. The whole staff was helpful and friendly.

The waitress really seemed burnt out. It took us about 20 minutes to explain that we wanted to only order 2 entrees for 4 people. She insisted on charging us $5.99 each for splitting dishes, we explained that we had eaten there the previous night, split the dishes and there was no problem. She then asked each person again what we wanted to order, we repeated the order and she once again explained that we’d be charged an extra $5.99 each. There was no sense reasoning with her, we just accepted that she wasn’t going to back down. We talked with the hostess after the meal and the hostess insisted we were in the wrong because “….she is our best server….” and couldn’t have possibly made a mistake.

A truly wonderful place! Warm, kind staff make you feel like family. Atmosphere is fun, cozy and relaxing. Food was DELICIOUS! Just passing through Minden and “bumped” into this place … Now it’s become a Minden-visit tradition! I can not WAIT to go back again some day!!! Thank you so much to the very special staff of Saletti’s, for such a memorable, wonderful time in your lovely restaurant!!!

Ok this was such a let down. This was a night that I was celebrating our 3rd year anniversary. I picked Saletti’s because it was the place for our first date and it became tradition to spend our anniversaries at Saletti’s.

We made reservation for 6. We still had to wait, for what I don’t know the room we were taken into had probably 12 tables and only 3 of them with other patrons. Then it took 15 minutes before anyone knowledges we were there and needed drinks. Then we had ordered finally. Alfredo and pesto with a ranch salad and a Cesar salad. The salads were warm and wilted with a strange taste. The Alfredo was ok except it looked like it was just thrown on top of one another and thrown on a plate. The pesto was ok a little bland but nonetheless good. We asked for bread multiple times and were even told “sure I will be right back with more bread ” never came. We were drinking a soda and ice tea we had empty glasses for a long long time while we watched our server gladly refill martinis at other tables multiple times before sending the bus boy with two pitchers that he just put on our table and didn’t even pour. Never even asked if our food was ok.

It’s now 20 minutes since our plates are finished and no one has asked if we needed dessert or if there was anything else we would like. Just the check on the table without a thank you or anything.

Very disappointed

I would be more than happy to speak to someone about this if they want to contact me. I tried at the restaurant but they made themselves unavailable.

The spaghetti dish (for one person) we ordered was a giant heap of noodles, enough for a small family, was covered in heavy-cream based sauce and nestled in a paddle of oil. While ordering, we failed to realize that tomatoes and basil were extra (yes, pay more for what it should contain in the first place). About $14 for the “base model”.
If you want a plate to share, be prepared to pay $4.95 extra.
To sum it up, too much fat, grease and oil, too pricey, definitely not good for your health or your wallet’s.

* The marker in Google was wrong when we went – it’s at Buckey on the north side of the road.

Oh my. Four of us tried baked brie, calamari, alio spaghetti, and chicken scallopini. Everything was delicious and we’re pretty picky (especially about calamari!)
The bread is served warm, the house salad is *far* from just a pile of iceberg, and the ice tea is made fresh.
We ended up bringing four of the made-in-house desserts home because we were stuffed (cinnamon brass pudding, carrot cake, tiramisu, and flourless chocolate cake.) If they taste half as good as they smelled we’re in for a treat. Yes, the dessert “menu” is a tray with everything available that evening on it.
They offer full sized servings at a lower price starting at 4pm.
Our meal for four including tip was $110.

Go, go, go.

I have eaten there once, I took a group of people there and the majority of the food was awful…I will never go again.
It appeared that all the others in the restaurant also has disgusting food. There were a great number that were taking their dinners home, I just left it.
It tasted like someone went crazy with the salt shaker
Whatever you do don’t take visitors there…ever!
