We had Sunday brunch. It is very expensive but so worth it for a special occasion. The food is first class. All you can want. The ambiance is lovely. By the ocean. What stands out is the impeccable service. My champagne glass was never empty, our empty dishes were removed immediately and a nice touch of folding your napkins while you are getting your food. We would recommend it.

Updated review: I was contacted by the Bella Vista Manager after posting my review. He was apologetic and offered us a partial refund for the evening and a complementary Sunday buffet when we’re back in the area. Even though this doesn’t change the experience I appreciate that they’re aware that the evening could’ve been improved and how to do it. Seems they’re headed in the right direction. I would just call beforehand and check on their menu and position of your table, outside is the nicest or next to a fireplace inside.

I went to the Bella Vista restaurant for Christmas dinner with my family. We were 6 people in total. Bottom line, for the $ we paid the food, service, and ambiance were not what we expected. ~$850 for the 6 of us. The first plate was ricotta cheese with a cracker, the rest just as disappointing. Service took a really long time. You couldn’t hear anything, acoustics were terrible. We should’ve left mid-dinner when we realized it was not what we expected…

We went for Valentine’s day. They had a set menu of 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. We knew the price ahead of time. But even still, for the price we payed, and for the amount of people they had staffed, I feel like we were always waiting. For the first hour I watched staff wonder around like they had nothing to do, and by the last hour, I watched all the other people waiting for their food. We spent 3 hours there only because it took 45min to get our next meal. I feel like we only started getting attention when I tapped my watch from waiting so long. The food was perfect, I just wish they would leave the kitchen faster. The drinks were mediocre. The Valentine special ones we over $20 and just tasted like sugar. At least my old fashion I had later was good. Maybe I can give it an extra star by going on a night that isn’t a holiday.

Two stars for the location, two stars for the service (Crispin, he was awesome!) And zero stars for the food. I mean seriously for what you pay and the level of prestige they try to convey with this place the food was very disappointing. To be fair it is not bad in a sense that you will not eat it but bad in a sense that if you charge me that much for a ‘Pasta Experience’ I expect more…even shredding a load of black truffle did not make it taste good.
