Tramonto Restaurant in Petersburg, VA is the real deal, authentically Italian. It is hands down my favorite place to eat in town. The seafood ravioli is incredible — fresh homemade pasta, perfectly cooked seafood filling, and a delicious creamy sauce. Order extra bread to dip in the sauce! I order it weekly and it never disappoints. The quality is always consistent and portions are perfect. Great atmosphere and friendly service every time.

I don’t know why I continue to be surprised by Tramonto. Eaten here 6 or seven times and they always impress me. It’s an unassuming little place with more room than you expect in the back and a great cobblestone patio/former alley…very inviting.
My shrimp Alfredo lasted me three days. I’m not suggesting that yours will, but the portion was impressive.
Servers are always very good.
I think they are definitely worth a look.

This cozy little spot has become a monthly tradition for us—and for good reason. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the family-style service makes you feel right at home every time.
Our go-to order? A medium cheese & onion pizza (perfection), a fresh salad, a glass of wine or a crisp cider from Busky’s, and a dry lemon/lime water—no ice, just how we like it!
The atmosphere is just right for a relaxing evening out, whether it’s date night or just treating yourself to something delicious. We’ll keep coming back, and we always recommend it to friends!

This Restaurant’s name ‘Tramonto’ translates from Italian to English as ‘Sunset’, which is when we arrived in Olde Towne Petersburg and chose this hidden gem for dinner. Glad we did. The food came promptly and was very tastey. I have to say it was so nice having our salads arrive on chilled plates! I loved how tender the meatballs were in my Spaghetti . The Greek style came with loads of feta cheese. It was a special request to leave out the so my photo will not show how it is typically served. The loaves of bread were hot and fresh from the oven, great for dipping into their house made dressing. I will definitely visit again to try other dishes.

This restaurant came highly recommended by our inn keeper, Victoria at The Jury’s Inn and it did not disappoint. Great food and drinks, wait staff and chef and beautiful courtyard out back. We had lasagna (homemade) and a shrimp dish plus salad and adult beverages for under $40.00. BTW, Thanks for being open on Labor Day!

Ordered shrimp Alfredo with broccoli. Shrimp still had shells on them and there was no Alfredo sauce on this at all. Everything was fresh, just incomplete.

As a former owner of a pizzeria/Italian restaurant, i feel confident saying this place exceeds normal standards! The marinara sauce is perfect. the atmosphere feels down home Sicilia to me! Highly recommend this place for the sauce alone!

Great food. Nice courtyard. Owner and waitstaff are super nice. Daily specials posted on the window coming into restaurant. Nice selection of beer, wine, and liquor. You can find parking all around that area. Olde Town Petersburg is rich with history. Come spend a day walking around and stop here for pizza,subs or authentic Italian dishes.
