Coffee pot is sooo good. The drive from Boston is worth it. Located next to a bank in Southern Bangor. The sandwiches are delicious. Plenty of parking outside and accessible. They have a drive thru window for pre orders. There is a bathroom inside. The employees seem real nice and are well known. The sandwiches are huge. They can custom make sandwiches or they have a few premade ones ready to go. Their thing is putting the meats on top of the sandwich and the vegetables and stuff lower. I get the egg salad. They sell chips and drinks. Humpty dumpty chips to be exact. Plenty of tables inside. The only weird thing about the setup is to drive around in the parking lot you have to drive thru to get around the closest side to the bank, which to me should be the outside land. Other than that this place is a must try

I get a gluten free sandwich here quite often. When I first heard they did GF sandwiches I was excited but nervous because I have celiac. When I called to ask them about cross contamination they assured me they have a separate station with everything for gluten free sandwiches. I have never gotten sick eating here! However maybe 2 months or so ago I ordered my regular “Turkey Coffee Pot” and it came with maybe 6 tiny little nuggets of turkey. I was so shocked because normally there’s so much meat on the sandwich it’s spilling out. I called them to let them know that this happened. They did offer to make me a new one but I’d already gone down the road. I’ve ordered my regular sandwich a couple times since then with no issues until today. Today I again got very few tiny pieces of turkey on my sandwich. I’m not sure if they were running low or if they are changing how they make sandwiches. If they were running low and trying to save it, I’d rather they just tell me they were out of turkey than to get less than I paid for. Now I’m skeptical to go back. I always share the turkey on my sandwich with my kiddo and it’s usually plenty for both of us to eat for lunch. Now it’s barely enough for one person. I’m disappointed. I wish I could post a photo of my sandwich in this review for others to see but can’t seem to figure out that feature.

Everyone was very nice and the sandwiches were excellent. For a sandwich the seems relatively “simple” they are absolutely incredible. It’s awesome to still be surprised at how good some places are. Get a coffee pot

It’s an unassuming little place sharing a plaza with a bank, but the locals come here in droves for what is almost certainly the best cold sandwiches in the city of Bangor. I had a Deluxe Coffee Pot with a Moxie, and my brother had the Italian sandwich. Everything was fresh, tasty and filling– a good balance of flavors and ample portions! The place was buzzing on a Friday morning, but we got our food quickly and it was well worth the drive.

Staff was very slow coming to the front counter, easily mixed up when taking my very simple order, unsure if they had egg salad (which was on the menu), the turkey sub had no flavor (even with salt added) & they don’t sell or offer lettuce at all there. Most of the dining room tables were dirty.

The Coffee Pot is a Bangor classic. They have the softest, freshest rolls, excellent meats, and their sandwiches are a work of art. We always love whatever we order.

As a kid I always got sandwiches from skip best sandwiches but not now the past few times the onions are so overwhelming thats all u taste is called and they said order half the onions..it should be automatic bu she said they are generous on onions who wants to eat that much onion… not us. Also my husband got a ham n cheese with mayo only they charged if he was buying deluxe wow expensive

My Family got three sandwiches, I only have pictures of two. Each sandwich only had one slice of deli meat and really nothing else to it. I ordered an italian wrap and got ham, cheese, and pickles. Id like to see improvement from this place

My family of 6 came in! We got our food in less than 5-10 minutes!! The lady at the front counter was amazing at helping us order. She knew we weren’t from here and was very patient. The bread was SO FRESH! We all loved our food!
