All food that should have been crispy, was in some sort of liquid, and super soggy. Chicken dish was very tough. Rice had some kind of weird taste. Salt in little packages, no shaker. Probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. I would give it 1 star, but the server was nice and good.

I wish I could say more good things about this place. Let’s start from the atmosphere outside, which is a poorly maintained building and parking lot. Inside is not much better furnishings very old and dull. Food was such a disappointment that every chicken dish was poorly prepared and meat was not fresh. The shrimp was hard, chewy little pieces not tasty at all. The lady that set us became annoyed.We had a 92 year old Korean War veteran who took a little time to sit. She was spoken to by another employee in her native language. Although we could not understand the conversation her face expressions, they said it all. Go give it a try. Just be warned very poor quality food.

honestly, for el campo, golden phoenix is my top favorite buffet, the food is delicious, the service is even better , they make sure your drinks are always filled, grab any plates for you & don’t mind making fresh food for you and overall the service is amazing just as the food.

A small town, El Campo, I was so surprised to find a classic Chiness Buffet, it was really fullfill my hungry stomach. The service girl treated me so nice she always smile to everyone. For sure, I would like to come again when I visit this small town.

The food was all cold, no taste, egg rolls were cold and not crispy and so were the crab raggoons. The vegetables were all dried out. Won’t go there again.
