The 14in American classic (typical combo fully loaded with meat, pepperoni, onion, pepper, etc) was $48. Which is already really steep, but I actually felt most ripped off by the wings.
Their menu on the delivery apps doesn’t state the count of the wing order (they offer only one size). I took a gamble and ordered it anyways, hoping $20 would buy maybe 12 wings.
For $20 you get SEVEN wings. SEVEN!!! They were also overcooked and soggy.
I guess it’s cool that their ranch comes in such large cups. It’s also obviously made in house and pretty good ranch.
But please look at the picture of the two items I ordered and ask yourself if it’s worth $70 BEFORE tax and delivery fees.
We got the Sicilian which we love, we usually get the Margherita but tried the one with the three sauces for the first time which was great!! Service was also great, friendly and fast.
The pepperoni was a standout, with deep, savory flavor and not the “fake” kind you sometimes get. We also tried the veggie pizza, and honestly, it blew us away. The toppings were crisp, fresh, and balanced beautifully with the crust. You can tell they put thought into every bite.
If you are looking for pizza with quality ingredients and craftsmanship, this spot delivers.
Always get the 18 inch. Best value.
(Edit. 2nd order was on time)
They are however still one of the better pizza spots in the bay area in my opinion. Great dough and good flavors.
Pricing might seem a bit high but for the food it’s a good value. Would recommend if interested.
Original Review: This location is a food hub. I would have rather gone to the brick & mortar location, but for some reason (on the ordering page at least), they don’t offer the Chicago crust in SJ.
I ordered Chicago cracker thin crust w/ cup & crisp pepperoni for my family.
It took 45min from it being ordered to being given the pizza. Sauce is decent, but crust was burnt, yet somehow the pepperoni seemed a little undercooked. Seems to have sitting for a bit because it wasn’t hot & the bottom was soggy.
Estimate at the time of ordering seems accurate, but 45 min for this is just not worth it. Very disappointed.
No menus in person listing options or prices. I guess there a menu TV maybe but it’s off?? Did t realize beer was an option to buy til later. Not going to brave the unattended cashiers line to order
Most expensive slice of my life. $10 plus tax. And size is smaller than Slice House.
Zero greeting while waiting a super long time for cash register to be attended.
Strangely high tables and low seats make for odd seating.
Exceptionally ugly interior mural.
Unlabeled bathroom doors.
These guys obviously have their WILDLY expensive to go business down pat (wish I could afford their pies), but boy is eating in for a slice a poor experience.
Even when ordering in person they serve your slice in a to go box. Ugly and super wasteful
Zero sense of retail in person
Taste of Detroit pizza: good but far inferior to Slice House Mountain View with wildly better prices, service, portions, and atmosphere.
I want them to succeed and improve so this is all shared with love. Been super excited to try SOH for many years but always been pies only and could never afford. Hope they learn the art of in person dine in / slices and i hope to be a regular here if they do. For now huge growing pains.
They have no menu’s inside and only accept whole pizza orders online, despite having registers.
Then their website’s design is mess. With their Pizza’s being listed with so many marketing terms in their toppings that it’s impossible to quickly tell what is in which pizzas.
But the main reason I will never return is that they have ceased offering gluten free crusts.
Note that this is a ghost kitchen with no seating, but the pizza we ordered was just as good as the in-person San Jose location.
