To start with I’d like to do this with no stars I want it back. Order 2 Half chicken dinners asking them not to put in the styrofoam dish and put the chicken in paper bags, as I walked in to pick up are order are food was returned to the kitchen so to take the chicken out of to styrofoam and put them in paper bags the styrofoam has already melted to the chicken was served the chicken we throat away the best part the skin will not be doing business with this restaurant again. The right thing to do was to recook the order apparently the owner has no Respect for the customer health. Here’s a better one would the owner eat this chicken with styrofoam melted into it . No stars here

Driving through after elk hunting for 9 days in Utah we stopped here for breakfast. The wait staff was so friendly and attentive our coffee cups were never empty. The portions are huge and the pancakes are fantastic. Great value for the food as well.

Ordered fried chicken from the gold mine last night. It was about 25 min before closing time so I do understand that is an annoying order right before closing. Either way it was delivered to the house and the cook must have taken the chicken straight out of the fryer and into a styrofoam container. Which completely melted the container all over the chicken. We ordered two halves. That was completely not edible anymore. They were closed by that time so I called them back today to try and resolve the issue. The manager there today was the same one there last night and was completely aware of the situation. He mentioned how it’s happened before and they can’t do anything about it. I just wanted a refund and told him I could bring the chicken back in the boxes for him to see. He said if he refunded me he would have to refund everyone. I asked if he could just make another order of chicken we could grab today to make up for it? He denied that and said he couldn’t do anything about it. I mentioned if it has happened before then why haven’t they addressed the problem so it doesn’t keep happening to customers? He then insulted my intelligence saying that it’s common sense that hot chicken will melt the styrofoam. I said exactly that is common sense and that I wasn’t the one who packaged it that their cooks did. I have worked as a cook myself for about 3 years at ponderosa steakhouse, new beginnings, and the uptown grill. Usually it’s the customer is always right and you try and make things better for them. This chicken was to feed my family dinner. Not only was the food not edible and denied any type of refund or way to make it right. I felt that the staff was rude. The lady that answered the phone didn’t want to let me to talk to the manager saying he was to busy and she would leave a message. I requested to speak to one still and then they denied any way to make it right. They said it’s happened before and haven’t done anything to try n fix an ongoing issue. So I’m not happy at all with my experience here and just wanted to share my story so that you don’t find yourself in my shoes. There’s a lot of great fried chicken in the area I don’t recommend this place at all!

Truly an exceptional breakfast experience. Wait staff works great as a team and we’re unbelievably friendly. The portions were large, fairly priced and delicious highly recommend.

Finally was able to try this place and I’m beyond pleased on how tasty it was! I’ll definitely be eating here more and will bring my fiance too. I had the beef roll with fries and soup of the day. The beef roll had TONS of meat and no chewy pieces, soup I believe was cream of potato which was delicious. The only thing I was disappointed about was the $3.50 cottage cheese and it was a very tiny thing of it. I ordered through door dash and food was very hot and fresh.

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast with great food and service at Gold Mine. They are expanding so construction goes with progress. Great to see downtown Spring Valley have a thriving breakfast and lunch restaurant.

Stop here to get lunch on our way through town. Great little place. Ashley, our waitress greeted us right away with a smile and was very friendly. Our food came very fast and hot after ordering. Ashley was also very attentive to our needs and my boyfriend’s disabled son. She came back and checked on us several times. I will definitely come back next time we come through.

Words really cannot describe how much I love this place. The food is the best I have ever had. I honestly wish I could have the cooks in back be my personal chefs. For 12 bucks I can get a family style 1/2 mixed fried chicken meal with sides and all. The waitresses are all excellent at their job. The owners are really kind when they see my girlfriend and I enter. Literally as if we were family.

You get so much food & everything is reasonably-priced! We had 7 of us and everyone got something different, all thought their food was great. We even talked about this place all week while visiting family as it was worth the price and the quantity & quality of food was fabulous! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was family friendly.
