ICHI Japan Express

The food is really good in my opinion, but the service recently is just terrible. It took about 30 minutes to get my food with no one in front of me. The cashier was on the phone, which is fine, but couldn’t multitask to take my order, and the cook wasn’t able to take the order or didn’t want to. And then the cook waited to make my order until everyone that was in line had ordered, including the family of six behind me and another fairly large order. So the person that got there the earliest, barely got their food ahead of the person that showed up 25 minutes later. The food is good, but it’s not that good to deal with that; and I would order online and get it prepped, but they increase the prices by about 20%.

Just fix your service, and I will eat there more. I promise. If not, then don’t charge a premium to order online if it still takes forever to get the food.

This place wasn’t for us at all. But the service was excellent. Id say give it a try for yourself and see. They make the food right in front, and the staff is so kind. We didn’t care for the flavor of what we ordered, it left a bad after taste and gave us both heartburn. We didn’t even finish our meal. The place had customers, so maybe it was our timing. You never know. It smells amazing when you walk in and the plates customers were eating looked so delicious.

I’ve been here a couple of times and I like it. The owner and staff are always so very kind. The food is alright— not the best flavor ever, but I find myself craving it. If you ever need a quick bite, I’d definitely recommend stopping by. You get a lot of food for the price, and the chefs are always super quick!

I thought this place was pretty good. I ordered chicken and shrimp combo. Surf and turf! The portions are huge so make sure you’re hungry. Or you could totally save half for later. Friendly staff. I would go back again. There’s more items on the menu I would like to try.

Chicken teriyaki was awful. The chicken was fatty and not appetizing at all. The fried rice was just plain rice with sauce, no add ins. Service was terrible, no “welcome in”, “thank you”, “hello”. The cook yelled at us when the food was ready pretty rudely. Nobody was in the store when we went, and for a good reason. Won’t be coming back.

Portion size is above average, but wasn’t blown away. Food was good, but chicken pieces were really fatty and teriyaki sauce was really sweet. Shrimp was good in the combo and cabbage added a good crunch. Probably won’t come again but worth checking out and you decide for yourself.

If you are in a hurry to get some food this place is great. How ever, I say it again, how ever, the taste isn’t the greatest here. I’m not sure what’s missing but it’s more bland. I did add chili paste but didn’t had much luck in it. Teriyaki sauce is bit water down. Portion of the food is really good. I wish it’s a little bit more tasty.

I’m not of Asian decent but I could make better fried rice. I have made better fried rice. Only reason I came here is because my fridge was supposed to be delivered 2 days ago. This is exactly why I don’t go out to eat, I’m usually left with a plate of nasty food.
