Musashi’s has a nice exterior, but the inside was not what I expected. it is very small, which can feel a bit cramped. I ordered the Chirashi Don, but unfortunately, the fish quality on the rice wasn’t the best compared to other sushi places I’ve tried. It’s an okay spot, but the disappointment with the interior space and the main dish prevents me from giving a higher rating.

Have been going to musashis for a while. It was always better than most other chirashi bowls for a lot cheaper. After not going for a while I found they now provide more rice, or at least the bowls are different and it feels like more rice. I like the new bowls!
The fish is still plentiful and fresh. Will be continuing to come back!
I’ve only gotten the chirashi bowl. It’s the best.

No nonsense restaurant with good sushi for the money, friendly service, and easy access to street parking.

Dining in, they provide free hot barley tea. You can order at the counter or through the online menu.

The nigiri dinner came with good size fish. The rice was a little hard so I didn’t eat most of it. Waitress brought extra wasabi and ginger quickly when we ran out.

Decor is basic but comfortable. Plenty of free on street parking.

Musashi’s is a quaint little restaurant in Redmond town center. We went on a Thursday for an early dinner and the service was quick and fast. The food was good, but the freshness of the fish could be better. Overall would recommend for a quick bite.

We order from Musashi’s Factoria for years. Almost always the chirashi. Always excellent freshness, and a generous portion. This Musashi’s is however quite different. A skimpy amount of fish, questionable freshness and overcooked seared salmon and eel. I was close to dumping it in the bin.

Turns out all Mushashi’s aren’t created equal… we will skip this one

It’s the nicest sushi I’ve ever had, but the venue is cramped, echo-y, and the service isn’t great. Mostly the employees hide behind the counter and it’s hard to get their attention. Ordering isn’t straight forward and they seem to be pushing QR codes.

Review:

Musashi’s is a great stop for sushi in Redmond. Very fast service (15 min from order to pickup) even during a dinner rush on a Friday night. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was picnic-ready, and the meal was delicious. Buttery salmon nigiri is one of my absolute favorite sushi staples and it was 10/10! The only potential detractors were the onigiri and the price (hence the -1 star). The onigiri didn’t hold up super well and the flavor, as compared to other items, was not anything to write home about. The price for takeout was a little spendier but would have been fair had we opted to dine in-house. Great local sushi option!

Staff was very friendly but most of the fish either not fresh enough to eat raw or not properly cut. Salmon when turned upside down had white fat layer which was imposibile to chew, tuna was difficult to bite, have given up. Fatty tuna roll was acceptable, it was tried first so I was hungry enough to swallow it…

Musashi’s has always been my go to spot for chirashi bowls in the Seattle area and I’m pleased that the Redmond location is living up to my expectations.

Food
Whenever I come to Musashi’s I always get a chirashi bowl! The fish is so fresh and taste amazing. My favorite is the salmon since its so tasty. For the chirashi bowls you are able to request for them to swap out certain fish for other fish. Sometimes I just ask for them to swap out all the fish for salmon = salmon bowl!!

There is free hot tea in the pitchers on the table. And there is free cold water in the fridge by the register (self serve).

Atmosphere
A large space but there is limited seating. 6 tables and then 4 seats at the counter top. The Redmond location has a more bare atmosphere than their Seattle locations and isn’t somewhere I would take someone for a fancy feeling sushi experience (the Seattle one I would though).

Pricing
Standard pricing for sushi and fish. They have pretty cheap rolls compared to other places that I have seen. Chirashi bowl is about $18 and very worth compared to other places that do chirashi.

Service
Self serve for most things. Order up front, they bring the food, and they clean the tables. Get your own water.

Other
Musashi’s started out in one location in Seattle years ago, but I was surprised to find out they have expanded their locations even to Oregon!

As a vegetarian, my options were quite limited at Musashi’s. I decided to try the Veggie 10-piece roll along with the Mushroom and Zucchini skewers.

The rolls were decent but nothing particularly noteworthy. Unfortunately, both the Mushroom and Zucchini skewers were undercooked and didn’t taste very appealing. While the restaurant is budget-friendly and suitable for those seeking a quick meal, I found the overall experience lacking in both taste and ambiance.

For me, Musashi’s didn’t leave a lasting impression, so I’m inclined to give it a two-star rating.
Service times are quick.
