The music was a bit loud for us and a little too electric according my wife. That’s the only negative we can say about this place. Recommended!
Unfortunately I did not get the name of the gent that served us, but he was brilliant, very informative and helped us out a lot with deciding what to have and explaining the menu to us (with it not being our first language).
When the food arrived it was incredible!! The meats were cooked beautifully, the sides and sauces were just adding to the gorgeous flavours! Would highly recommend this place and will be returning!
Fantastic.
And that something new came from during my visit at Hell Smoke BBQ.
First I’d like to thank the waiter named Karel for his kindness and fantastic service.
For this visit I had the opportunity to try brisket for first time ever.
So maybe whilst I may be inexperienced on this, I’d like to mention that this was amazing.
I still may not have the correct words to describe it properly other than tender, smoky and absolutely delicious.
Thank you for this opportunity Hell Smoke BBQ.
Until next time ️!
The waiter was nice, had great suggestions in terms of pairing meat and sauces. While I have not had real American BBQ, this felt authentic.
Everything was super flavourful and delicious.
While they don’t necessarily brand themselves as a kidsfriendly place it’s a place where they don’t mind a little noise, you can eat with your fingers and there is a big kitchen roll on each table.
Plus there are 2 great playgrounds in the park 5mins walk from the restaurant.
Nice industrial yet cozy interior and you get a wide variety of smoked meats, sides and beers from micro breweries. Definitely make sure to try their cheesekace with smoked plum sauce – it’s legendary!
After searching for it specifically and reading reviews and looking at pictures online, I knew we had to try it, and we were not disappointed at all. We had beef brisket, pulled beef and fries with chili as main courses, and they were all fabulous! I had the brisket, didn’t need a knife because the meat was so tender, and didn’t use the bbq sauce that I’d ordered, because the meat was so delicious in its own, I didn’t want to change it.
I also had the bbg baked beans which I loved, and the Cole slaw, which was delicious in its own right although not exactly what a New Yorker like me expects when ordering cole slaw (I think this was better quality than what you’d get in the States, just not exactly the same thing).
The beer selection is outstanding, I can’t remember the name of the brewery but it’s a craft product highest quality, with maybe seven varieties to choose from. I had the “Silver Snail” and ordered a second one, which I didn’t ordinarily do.
The only critical point I feel I need to make, in case the staff read this, is that they could be a little more attentive of the guests who have been sitting a while. We had finished dinner and were ready for dessert and that second beer, but I had to go up to the bar to remind them that we were there. And then they were extremely friendly and the stuff came quickly. But while we were waiting, we could see a few of them chatting with each other and other guests. It is a very casual, relaxed atmosphere, which is a positive, but staff can perhaps be a little too casual.
Oh, the “burnt cheesecake” with plum jam was also delicious!
The best thing we ate was the cheesecake. It was everything a cheesecake should be and more. By far the best thing I have eaten in Prague and one of the best cakes I ever had.
