Casual setting for classic American dishes made with local ingredients & served with regional wines.

On my first visit, the bartender was so lazy. I had to ask for my place setting when my food came out and he looked at me weird. My drink was empty for a good 5 minutes and the bar was quiet.
The French dip came out with fries while the menu says a pickle and soup are the side, I asked him what was up and he kinda waddled off and silently dropped a plate of pickles in front of me.
Oh the food sucked too, and at hotel price. Luckily I was using f&b credit.
On the second visit, the “smash” burger was not a smash burger and they didn’t even ask what temperature. Suffice to say it was bad.
Free is too much to pay.

We stayed at the Hilton hotel. As Diamond members, we received $15 daily food and beverage credits per person. We sampled quite a few dishes from their menu.
My favorites were the Margarita Pizza and Pesto Pasta Primavera. The pasta was loaded with fresh vegetables and absolutely delicious – though I’ll definitely add chicken next time. The Fried Chicken Sandwich and Pistachio Affogato were also good.
Unfortunately, the breakfast items were disappointing. This was probably because breakfast is their busiest time, so the kitchen might be rushed. The Salmon Sweet Potato Hash was way too salty, and while the fried chicken itself was decent, the gravy just wasn’t my thing.

Tigisti was our server and she was super sweet. She gave us good recommendations, made sure our water was always full, greeted us with a warm and genuine smile each day and engaged with our little one. She even found her colors to keep her busy. We ate there several mornings. Their breakfast potatoes are three kinds (purple, sweet, and regular) very good. The pancake is fluffy. Their side fruit bowl is huge, biggest I’ve seen. Got the omlete today and it was so veggie full, cheesy, and delicious!

Located in the Hilton I read the reviews and did not have high hopes l, just figured it would be just whatever food . Well I had the burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Perfectly cooked smash burger piled with toppings perfectly cooked steak fries and it was huge. I ate every bite and it was big. Well done. For reference I ate at urban farmer the day before and this was much better

I stopped in for breakfast. I was met by Tigi. If I could give her a six-star rating on a five-star scale, I would but they only let me give five star ratings. The Hilton also provided outstanding service by Em and Victoria. The management of the Hilton in Portland should be commended for hiring such great people.

While staying at the Hilton I stopped into for a light bite to eat. The waiter was pleasant and the food came out quickly. I was happy to find a simple combo, and ordered a tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Evidently I didn’t read carefully since there was a piece of breaded chicken in the very thick 3 layer sandwich. I wouldn’t have minded the chicken, but what I tasted was a sandwich that was drenched in whatever they use for grilling: butter substitute I guess? Way way too much. It was a mess to hold, but more importantly it had a bad taste, rancid maybe. Inedible. The soup was very nice with Parmesan cheese and a little parsley on top. I ate the soup. When the waiter came to retrieve the plate with the sandwich almost untouched, he asked if I wanted a box!

This restaurant is attached to the Hilton Hotel lobby! It’s a nice restaurant, and the service was excellent. We were fortunate to come here when there wasn’t too big of a wait and were seated immediately. There were times in which the restaurant was crowded as more patrons of the hotel and or conferences ended. The food was delicious, and the menu gave great options to choose from. The gentleman server was fantastic. There was a strange situation in which everyone at my party had their food delivered, but one of our companions didn’t. Our companion maybe waited maybe 3-5 minutes for their food, but the server kept updating and when the food did come out…again only 3-5 min later. The server made it right and said because my buddy had to wait their meal was on the house. Wow…that was unexpected but most certainly welcomed to be proactive in reaching customers long term.

Overall the meal was perfectly fine. It didn’t blow me away but it wasn’t bad either. I really enjoyed the scotch egg and the burger was good. The coffee chocolate cake was not nearly coffee enough. Enjoyed the highball offering of “old fashioned 3-ways”. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Overall, I wouldn’t make a point of returning but only because there’s more places to try in the area.

Needed some drinks and some hot food and this fit the bill. Located in the Hilton downtown so very convenient to drink and stumble upstairs. Overall it was ok and satisfied the need. Bartender was working hard and I appreciated his management of the bar and food area. Check it out while staying at Hilton.
