Golden Pagoda in Bellville, Texas delivers the kind of experience that makes you want to come back again and again. A+ experience and affordable! The buffet was amazing – with so many amazing options to choose from.
The food is genuinely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best Chinese cuisine you’ll find in the area. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, making it a perfect spot to unwind over a great meal.
The staff deserves a special shoutout: they’re warm, attentive, and impressively quick without ever making you feel rushed. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, you feel taken care of.
Overall, it’s an amazing dining experience—comforting food, peaceful vibes, and service that makes you feel welcome. A true Bellville gem!

For a small town buffet i was expecting same mediocre food. What a lovely surprise, super clean and neat place. Chicken flavor was amazing. Best I have ever had at the Chinese buffet. Juicy meat and shrimps. Worth stepping by.

We live in Katy and have been going to Golden Pagoda for about 25 years. I don’t know if they were bought out as it’s been over a year since we have been here. The food use to be great, the best won-ton soup with cabbage, green onions, strips of pork, tender won-tons. The meals were HOT and plenty of meat, whether it was chicken, beef or shrimp. Today we drove up thinking of having a great dinner. We noticed the restaurant had been redecorated, which looked nice and they had a buffet now. I wanted my old favorite Kun Pow triple delight and won-ton soup so we skipped the buffet. First off, no crispy strips to munch on, soup brought out and it wasn’t the same. Cabbage and pork stips missing, won-tons were doughy and it was luke warm. My Kun Pow Tripple was Luke warm and mostly vegetables. Wife’s dinner luke warm also and no taste.
I don’t know if they have new owners or a new cook but we were very disappointed as this now was like most other Chinese restaurants we don’t go to. We won’t be driving an hour anymore to what use to our favorite Chinese restaurant.

Not good. I do not recommend this chinese food to anyone. I ordered chicken fried rice and instead I was given chicken and shrimp fried rice. The rice was bland and had almost no vegetables in it as well. Even the Beef and Broccoli I ordered tasted like fish. The Cashew Chicken was pretty good and was filled with cashews, which is rare.

We had a bad experience here, first of all there is no service, it’s an open buffet, there were 4 of us , 2 adults and two kids, one is 12 the other is 5. We adults ate a full meal and got charges the night charge that is the same menu for lunch only more per person, our 12 year old ate half a plate that was fully charged then our 5 year old had 4 grapes, 2 cantaloupes and still we were charged full price for all. I protested the price she eventually gave us $4 off then taxes etc, we paid $63 for sub par mediocre food. I complained the owner said it’s ok nonchalantly, and that her business has been there 40 years!. Mediocre businesses like this restaurant are a disservice to bellville, while it is an appreciated diverse option, this should not mean we should accept mediocre businesses to thrive and overcharge for their sub par mediocre food. Noting the food was lukewarm warm, felt old, and cooked to fill a display with mo regard to flavor or presentation. We will not come back, and I behest the residents of bellville to be more concerned about where and who their hard earned money goes to.

7 adults and 1 child drove from Brenham to enjoy the buffet The food was only warm but they did offer Blue Bell ice cream as a dessert. Wait staff did not check on us but did remove dirty plates from table. That was the only interaction they offered. Seems all staff left their smile at home Was not pleased with our visit.

Foods just kind of alright, nothing special about it, you can’t really taste any difference in it. It’s mid but consistent, I’m hoping it’ll get better as time goes otherwise I’ll end up going up the road to Golden Imperial.

When we visit Bellville for any appointments, we ALWAYS eat here. We prefer the buffet for variety choice of dishes. Bellville is very lucky to have this restaurant in their town.

Passing through and decided to stop.
Glad I did!
I have been on the hunt for a good Orange chicken for years and I found the place!
Unlucky for me it’s 2 hours from home. We will definitely be making stops anytime we have to pass through.
Large portion sizes and food was amazing
We tried the orange chicken, egg rolls , broccoli & beef and egg drop soup

I have read some “ok” reviews from this small town restaurant, We had the buffet. Not alot to choose from for the dinner price of $16.50 each, but we were passing through so we decided to stop. HUGE mistake. After eating a few bites, we both noticed that the taste was off. After further inspection, the meats on the buffet (chicken on the stick, general tso chicken, jalapeno chicken, sweet & sour chicken, and the beef and broccoli, were not cooked thoroughly. The chicken was partially raw and had that “chewy” type texture. The beef had an uncooked gray color to it. The bacon was partially cooked on the bacon wrapped shrimp, Needless to say, my spouse and I both have wound up with severe diarrhea due to food poisoning from the undercooked meat from this place. If you are so inclined to visit this place, I highly encourage you to inspect the food before consuming. The service is below average also. You have to flag a server down for napkins, soy sauce, and a drink refill and when you do finally get their attention, they are so rude. Never again will we spend our money at such a place. Also, this place “remodeled” some months back. Basically, it was like putting lipstick on a pig.
