I’m from the south so I might be a little tough on this place. But my opinion is the owner/waitress was very nice. The restaurant has a really cool lay out and feels comfortable. It is a bit small but that’s okay. As for the food it was not my favorite. When I see “BBQ” I think of brisket, ribs, burnt ends, etc. Their menu was very limited. I ordered the chicken with coleslaw and beans. I took one bite of the coleslaw and that was it. It had so much apple cider vinegar I couldn’t taste anything else. The beans were bland and the chicken was okay, the sauce just wasn’t that great. My wife had a meatloaf and it was also okay. My mother in law had the pulled pork and I tried it, it was not that great, kind of bland and I think it had the same sauce as the chicken on it so I personally didn’t like it. The experience was good but the food wasn’t impressive at all.

I’ve been here twice and both times been really impressed by the quality and selection. My mom is very health conscious and struggles to find menus in the area that cater to her preferences and she was just thrilled with this place because of all the fresh veggies. The owners are always working and provide really good service.

And you don’t have to be a Local Guide let alone from the south (using so many words) to appreciate that this is a small restaurant because it’s a small town. Barbecue is widely interpreted by the individual. Initially I don’t come to a restaurant looking to be impressed, I come ready to eat. For what is available in the area this place does a great job at providing good food and that’s worth supporting. You can keep your Buffalo Wild Wings.
Having been from out of town myself it was great to see individual businesses thriving over big commercial. It truly makes a difference in service and overall experience of the community.

The spare ribs were smoky and delicious with your choice of mild or hot bbq sauce (I would recommend the hot for an extra kick). The Mac and cheese was super creamy, flavorful and well seasoned. This was not a bland mac and cheese. The potato salad was refreshing with a herbal flavor not boring. The service was great and the people were welcoming and really nice.

A great little place with excellent food and friendly service. If you’re looking for a very fresh salad bar with a nice selection, this is it. If you’re looking for deep-fried comfort food, there are other places to go, but not here. The soups vary daily. There are often a couple of sandwiches on the menu too. But the selections are limited and that’s okay because the quality is excellent.
And how nice to have soup year round! I like the self-serve water infused with strawberries. There are also fountain drinks and bottled teas and milk.

BBQ pork sandwich was on a toasted ciabatta bun. It was amazing. I never would have thought to do that. Service was excellent. Nice decor. Mac and cheese seemed to be overpowered with onion flavor. A bit too much for my taste.

The food was great and moderately priced. There were 3 different lettuce blends and lots of fresh fruit and veggies to choose from. Two different soups every day, but there isn’t always a vegetarian soup option, so call them or check their facebook page to find out about that day’s soup choices if you have to have a veggie option.

Please check this sweet little restaurant after a day at Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari! Not sure if kids would dig it, but if they like bbq, salads and soups I think they would be happy. No desserts on the menu yet, but our really sweet waitress said that they are thinking about what ones to add.
BBQ was phenomenal!! The atmosphere was so cool and the people were so nice. Please skip the fast food chains and check them out!

Three fresh soup choices today. The sweet pepper and hearty saugage was perfect for a frigid day. I had already tried the tomato basil (wonderful!) and I brought some chicken soup home with me.
