Papa John’s used to be my favorite pizza place, but something has changed recently and that something is the dough slapping process. This store (and apparently most others, it seems) has new hardware that is used to press the dough flat before it’s slapped out the rest of the way to be cooked. The end result is a crust that is completely different from how it used to be.
Said crust is flatter, thinner, and more dense than fully hand tossed crusts I remember getting even just last year. The result is a chewier bite and a crust that is as flat as the main portion of the pizza itself. Ultimately, this is an incredible disappointment for me.
To top it all off, the prices for condiments and whatnot have sharply risen. Extra sauce cups have gone from 50¢ a cup to a full dollar. Pepperoncinis have increased the same. Seasoning packets are now a full dollar in some cases. It’s all become incredibly expensive.
The end result of this is worse pizza for higher prices. I will not be ordering pizza from here, or any Papa John’s for that matter, again.

The guys working here are pretty cool guys, always nice and chill. I went in one evening for pick up and they even gave me a free slice of pizza! Made my night that’s for sure.

I usually have good experiences from Papa John’s but this is the worse. Is this how we cutting pizza now??? ♂️ the pizza wasn’t even cut all the way through. Worker looked like they didn’t want to be there and had a bad attitude. I’m never coming back to this location.

I ordered the xlarge pepperoni. Added extra cheese, mushrooms, and spicy Italian. Spoke with manager she will replace. She said it’s not on order you wanted pepperoni. Confused, I did ask for Xl New York pepperoni that means pepperoni goes on that pizza. Why is it on box side pepperoni but yet it wasn’t on order. I see reviews no response from store owner or a Manger. Store owner must not see these complaints from customers. That label clearly says pepperoni. I tell you good customer service is jot what it use to he. Appreciate your customers get the order correct. It’s bad management.

Papa John’s pizza is overall great but this particular location is terrible when it comes to cook times and delays… the most annoying thing about this location is they never ever cut their pizza, I used to leave a tip all the time and then I stopped because I’d get the pizza and it would never be cut or cut all the way thru. When I ask can you please cut or recut it it always seem like a burden to them to have to cut it for me… but then when I go to pay I end up pressing the “no tip” button they want to sigh loudly as if I did them an injustice… look if I have to part of you job by cutting my own pizza when I pick it up or get it delivered don’t except a tip….

The six cheese pepperoni and sausage is phenomenal. This is the third Papa Johns I’ve ordered this, and every time it is loaded with cheese; the crust is perfectly done, and the flavor of the pepperoni and sausage goes great with these six cheeses. I picked up from the store, and they had it all ready for me when I got there. I highly recommend getting extra garlic butter. It does great with this pizza.

This was hands down one of the most infuriating customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I placed and paid for my order online, only to show up and be told they had already given it to someone else. No apology, no urgency — just a casual “we’ll remake it,” and then proceeded to make me wait another 15 minutes. When I asked if they could at least offer a few extra wings for wasting my time and completely botching the order, the employee flat-out refused. No accountability. No effort to make it right. Just a robotic “we’ll remake it” like that magically fixes everything.

The customer experience has gone so far downhill. Ordered via the app. They don’t have delivery drivers anymore. They use DoorDash now. Food never arrived. DoorDash sent the driver to a street that doesn’t exist. Driver returned the my order. I tried to call the store to find out what happened and ended up talking to someone in India. Their English was so bad that they couldn’t understand what I was saying. I gave up, called Marcos Pizza and actually ordered from someone working at the local store.
