By far the best Jamaican food in New Haven! The oxtail falls off the bone, well seasoned in the rice was soft and tasty. The brown stew chicken fell off the bone as well and well seasoned, and the cabbage was dead, right and the mac & cheese taste better than at these soul food restaurants. The cashier was super friendly and great customer service. This place is a hidden gem!

Came here a couple times already. First time the curry chicken was good but calm. I went back a second time and the curry was perfectly spiced with so much more flavor and depth! Patties are great as well, cant go wrong! Curry chicken patty has perfect amount of heat! Staff is very sweet and I appreciate their hospitality. Atmosphere is casual but comfortable

I ordered jerk chicken. It was not jerk chicken it was bbq chicken. I asked for a side of jerk sauce ; I received bbq sauce with thyme sprinkled in. Worst jerk chicken I have ever received, I don’t even think a Jamaican made that chicken because it’s no way you confused jerk with bbq. My cabbage was over seasoned smothered in black pepper. Overall bad job you should be ashamed of yourselves. Where are the standards.

Usually the food here is good, but today I ordered a medium jerk chicken platter. As I was eating it I started to realize the chicken was undercooked. I was given undercooked chicken, gross. The gamble of good food is not worth the money or the stomach ache. I trusted you guys

For all the things New Haven does have, I didn’t expect to find authentic (and delicious) Caribbean food. I’ve been eyeballing this place for a little while now and I finally went. The curried goat is amazing. The rice and peas is perfect, and the cabbage slaw is absolutely delightful. Paired with a funny and kind person behind the counter, and even though I was only picking food up, i had a good enough time that i can not recommend this place enough. Go there, get a taste of home, or a taste of something you e never had before, but either way, enjoy. This place is worth it.
I can’t wait to go back and try more of my favorite Jamaican dishes!

Most difficult place I’ve ever tried to find mostly because the second generation Jamaican proprietor answering her moms phone was impatient, rude, and didnt care enoufh to give a landmark of the famous New Haven fire house right there. No parking at tgat intersection, so you had to know the spot word of mouth -GPS goes righr by it. Sampled tge curried goat (absolutely good), but again she fail my food critique test by going out of her way to select a huge bone and be rude about it: “Goat doest come boneless”. No way to treat a first time customer, and no born Jamaican would have. A definate mis-trust of her moms hard work. Customer service and word of moth in this business matters.

We stopped by to pick up a meal on Sunday Dinner Everyday’s fourth evening in business. They were still putting the finishing touches on the space— we arrived before the tables had, before the protective film had been peeled off the TV screens— and I am so glad that they didn’t wait a moment longer before opening their doors so that the community could enjoy their delicious food.

I chose the jerk chicken, and my husband the curry chicken. They were the kind of yummy that reminds you of home, and generously portioned to boot. It’s exciting to see a restaurant pop up in the Wooster Square area that brings us flavors from beyond Italy’s borders, and having a takeout option like this will surely be a game changer for those days we work from home. We’ll be back soon!
