We stopped for lunch at City Lights while passing through Cumberland and were able to sit outside and enjoy a beautiful summer day. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a salmon wrap and a burger – both were great!

Excellent dining experience! We had stuffed mushroom caps, maple bourbon chops and French onion chicken and they were all so delightfully delicious! The 2 staff we had contact with were very polite and knowledgeable and not afraid to make suggestions when asked, a skill I really appreciate.

I stopped by City Lights Café in Cumberland, MD recently, and wow—their burger did not disappoint. I ordered the classic cheeseburger, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while. The beef was juicy and full of flavor, cooked just the way I like it. The bun tasted fresh, maybe even house-made, and the toppings—lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese—were all crisp and perfectly balanced. Mix it with there Mac and Cheese and you have the perfect combo.

The fries were great too, crispy and seasoned just right. I sat outside under the trees, and the whole atmosphere made the experience even better. Super chill, great service, and you can tell they care about what they’re serving. I’ll definitely be going back next time I’m down that way I’ll definitely go again.

I don’t know what it is about Cumberland and it’s front doors banging. Anywho. My wife ordered the crab soup and crab cakes for dinner. Soup was okay and cakes were burnt (see picture). I ordered the pork chop, medium, with mash and veggies. Both of our veggies were overcooked and mushy. Asiago mash was just okay and not very flavorful. Chop was over medium and not very juicy. The sauce was just okay.

Tables are available for outdoor dining again! Inside or outside, my experience has always been wonderful! The meatloaf dinner is my go to, but today I had the Honey Garlic Glazed Pork with. Grapefruit Mimosa and it was all fantastic. Service is excellent. I highly recommended City Lights for a nice evening out. It is also walking distance to Embassy Theatre if you’d love to do dinner and a show. You will love this place!

We got the grilled Salmon and the Chesapeake Chicken. It was one of the best salmons I’ve had—perfect seasoning. The veggies tasted good and mashed potatoes were seasoned the way I like. We shared the Crab cream soup — very creamy and full of crab. The food came out pretty quick for it being sit down fine dining.

We did not have reservations but got seated immediately. Waitress was friendly and attentive. I liked the decor — a big collection of art available for sale. The bench against the wall looked like a vintage restored traditional church pew.

The restaurant is an 8 minute walk from the Fairfield Inn (Marriott). Street and sidewalk in front of restaurant is under construction so the ladies might want to avoid fancy heals.

Absolutely without a doubt this place has the friendliest staff I’ve ever met! Quaint little restaurant pub. From the second you step into the restaurant until the second you leave the staff is very attentive. We never had to ask for anything.

The food is absolutely delicious. You receive large portions that are expertly prepared and reasonable priced. We had appetizers, entrees and dessert. The hardest decision was what to get as everything that came out if the kitchen looked so good.

We sat in the bar area as we liked that atmosphere the most. The upstairs boasted candle lit tables with linen tablecloths. Most customers did have reservations. We did not; but, we were not turned away. We were equally welcomed.

You must try thir little gem out if you are in the area.

Bartender makes the best Old Fashions around. The food was delicious and the waitresses were very nice. The place doesn’t get the business it deserves. 10 out of 10. I love this place! The special tonight was amazing, New York Strip coffee rub with a blueberry vinegarette sauce. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The meatloaf is better than what your momma makes.
