I had my first visit to Vietnamese Gate Restaurant today, and it was such a pleasant surprise. The moment I entered, I felt a warm and authentic Vietnamese atmosphere, from the décor to the cozy details on the tables.

I ordered the Shrimp Noodles Satay, and it was absolutely delicious , rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. For a first time experience, it really exceeded my expectations. The dish was fresh, comforting, and full of authentic Vietnamese taste.

What truly made the visit memorable was the elegant and graceful attitude of the owner. She welcomed guests with genuine kindness and made sure everyone felt comfortable. Her professionalism and warm personality added a special touch to the whole dining experience.

Overall, this restaurant is a hidden gem in Bahrain. Great food, a peaceful atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality. I will definitely come back again to try more dishes. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys real Vietnamese flavors and appreciates excellent service.

It truly felt like a taste of Vietnam! Our server, Fazyul, was fantastic, friendly, polite, and very attentive to everything I asked for. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving Vietnamese food and excellent customer service.

Very disappointing experience. The pho broth didn’t taste good, and they didn’t provide the typical ingredients most pho restaurants give so you can season your soup properly. Even the sauces were off — their hoisin sauce didn’t taste like hoisin sauce, and when we asked for chili oil, the staff didn’t even seem to know what it was. I rather eat them microwaved pho noodles than eat here again!

The service was just as bad. The waiter seemed to have an attitude whenever we called him over to ask a question. They also forgot our drinks, and we had to remind them after we already finished eating. What’s worse is the restaurant wasn’t even busy — there were only two other customers there.

Now I understand why the place was empty. The food and service were both poor. I definitely don’t recommend eating here, and this will be my last visit.

0 stars from me.

Vietnamese Gate holds a special place in my heart.

By now, you are aware that I am very blunt when it comes to reviewing the places I’ve eaten at. Food plays an important role in my life, and Bahrain offers a variety of foods from all over the world, and Vietnamese Gate Restaurant is simply one of my favorites.

The food takes you on a trip to Vietnam. You get to experience authentic food, a bit of the culture, and meet the wonderful people who work there. If you’re looking to try something new, this is the place for you.

There’s 2 locations to choose from – Juffair and Saar. Feel free to check it out. This place will be a great way to treat yourself. I highly recommend it!

Vietnamese Gate is definitely a must try if in Bahrain. The Pho was very good and broth was rich. Pho comes in different sizes. The first time I went I got the set offered and everything was great, came out fresh out the kitchen, and gave me and opportunity to try somethings I probably wouldn’t have ordered on my own. The service is also great I believe the owner is very kind, she was extremely helpful and polite even turned on music for children so that we could get through dinner peacefully and truly enjoy the food. Second time I tried a few new things and the flavor was amazing. The space is a bit tight but there’s always room.

Despite my initial skepticism, I decided to give this Vietnamese restaurant in Bahrain a try before my trip to Vietnam. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors of the pork pho and the crab spring rolls. The portion size was also generous, with a satisfying amount of noodles and soup. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience that exceeded my expectations.

I’m really not sure how this place is still open and has 4.6* in reviews as it was the worst and at the same time most expensive food we’ve had in Bahrain (and that’s 11y of experience talking).
No10: deep fried chicken rolls were completely tasteless
No14: crispy coconut prawns with fresh salad had 0 coconut and some shriveled leaves that were dying of embarrassment for being called a “salad”
No15: chicken shu mai was incredibly dense and again tasted of nothing
No59: traditional crispy spring rolls (pork) had that incredibly strong smell that we weren’t sure if we were eating or intestines of one
No38: salted duck was actually chicken with blandest sauce I’ve ever tasted and portion of rice enough for a toddler.
So my advice is to stir clear because any supermarket food tastes better than anything we’ve had here.

I was fairly impressed to find a Việt restaurant in Juffair. All of the expectations and selection of classic Việt style food is here. I’m not sure what their selection of coffee is for the sua đã is or if it was not enough grind put in. It was lacking in the expected strength of flavor and caffeine. The pho was good, but it seemed like it was missing something. The owners are so nice and everything came out hot and quickly. I would recommend bỏ khô or pho gà.
