We enjoyed our weekend lunch experience. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. The elevated bar food menu was perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon. There were plenty of local beers on tap plus a full bar to wet your whistle. We enjoyed the Corner Cauliflower appetizer followed by the Corner Chopped Salad, Slider Trio and seasoned waffle fries.

The food and drink selection is great and has been consistently good since they reimagined their menu a couple years ago. It’s a great neighborhood place and fills a gap for the area. The reason for removing a star is because the service is inconsistent at best. I still highly recommend coming in, especially if you’re a local. I don’t recommend bringing in out of town guests (due to the service).

This place is a great spot for flatbreads, wings, drinks, and other pub foods. The flatbreads and wings were especially good – my friends and I ordered one pizza each with a few appetizers and it was enough food for all of us. My favorite flatbread was the carne asada with the green sauce. The only thing that was disappointing was the order or jalapeno poppers – you basically get two jalapenos (cut in half) for $9.50. See photos for details. Other than that, the place is a great quick stop.

Corner Tap has some really good things going for it, but there’s still some things you’ll be left wanting.

We ordered the Caesar salad, pretzel, and animal fries, coming out to just shy of $40. Portion wise, this was a bit much for what we received, but it’s Santa Barbara after all.

The Caesar salad was satisfactory, albeit a touch spicy. I’d say it’s a tasty budget salad choice. As a note to the owners, please provide more sauce for your to go orders! You’ve got something great here, let me enjoy it to its fullest!

The pretzel was a bit of a mixed bag. It was deliciously seasoned and came with a great mustard; however, the cheese sauce it came with was a little mild. I’d like it to be a slightly larger serving as well, but the flavors still make it a solid choice.

Okay, let’s dive into the animal fries. These things are great and could honestly constitute a full meal by themselves. If someone asks you to split an order, don’t. You want your own.

Let’s talk about the ugly aspects of this visit. Honestly, it’s loud inside. Luckily, there’s plenty of outdoor seating, just avoid sitting along Cliff Drive and you’ll be fine. The parking situation is also rough, especially considering people like to park over the “lines” of reflectors.

The worst part was how long it took for our food to be ready. It took just shy of 25 minutes to prepare a salad, pretzel, and some fries. I’m not trying to nitpick, but considering how little food was leaving the kitchen in general, it was slow.

All together, we done! This will be replacing Mesa Burger for us from now on, especially with how comparable the prices have become. To wrap it up, here are their current, 2023 menus so you can see each items pricing.

Happy eating!

Great relaxed environment to eat delicious food. The beer selection has some classics and lots of local central coast breweries on tap. Highly recommend the pizza as the crust is perfectly light and crunchy – ideal for deep dish. Dog friendly patio, kid friendly indoor and outdoor seating. Sunday special tri-tip sandwich is always lick the plate clean good. The service is friendly and efficient. We keep coming back and are always very satisfied no matter the occasion.

Newer building, but very much a sports bar inside. Very limited menu, but so worn they were hard to read). Service was promp and courteous. Brisket sliders were pretty good. To be healthy, my wife ordered a salad, which was drowning in unhealthy dressing so that it was hard to determine the freshness of the salad. Could have sent it back, but she just wanted to leave. SUGGESTION ‐ default to bringing any dressing on the side.

Good food here for being in Santa Barbara for the day. The Elote Nachos was fire and delicious, as well as the buffalo wings. Worth the trip from Woodland Hills.
