We were actually in the area planning to have lunch at Mylapore, but the wait time was around 90 minutes. So we crossed the road and decided to give Suvai a try — and I’m so glad we did. It turned out to be a delightful experience and a true culinary treat.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The staff is extremely respectful, welcoming, and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
We ordered the chicken noodles (Schezwan style) and the veg kothu parotta — both dishes were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Honestly, this is the best restaurant food we’ve had since COVID.
What truly stood out was that the owner himself served us our food, which really showed his commitment, humility, and dedication to customer service. The korma-style gravy and onion yogurt served on the side for dipping were such a thoughtful and tasty addition.

I started going here since they opened. Their food and service were great. They had great staff – Gopi and William. May be their cooking staff was also different. All 5 stars.
Recently, ever since they started a new branch in San Jose, most of their staff is moved there. Their food is average at best now, service is also substandard now.
Just today I got Idly Sambhar with chutney, Mysore masala dosa and onion peas uttapam. Uttapam was undercooked, moreover I found a baby cockroach and a spider in Mysore masala dosa.
Used to love their food and service with their old staff. I hope they can improve the quality and sanitation again.

An outstanding Indian buffet experience! The quality of food was top-notch, with every dish bursting with authentic flavors. The ambience was warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. A special shout-out to the live dosa and upma stations—freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! Best Indian buffet in town. The spices and selection are not just the typical Indian fare. The vegetable and meat dishes were delicious and fresh. They have free coffee AND chai. (Check out the photos!) The samosas were good but could be crunchier and include potato/pea filling.
I should also mention the staff were wonderful, checking on us regularly. We loved the 90s Indian music, too; the volume was just right. The buffet menu changes regularly so (although we were satisfied and happy) we will check back for days they also have fish. We give this place an A and will come back weekly.

Def impressed with the range of cuisine. Dal tadka and jeera rice hit the spot. Kadhai paneer was homely, not too spicy. Dosa was pretty solid. Paneer Tikka had great flavors although the paneer could be softer. Fried idli was okay. Spring roll was oily and probably had mashed potatoes filled in, not expected. Overall a solid meal though.

I’ve been going to this place for more than 20 years and although they’ve changed the name a few times, the quality has only increased. The buffet is always amazing, and obviously the best bang for your buck, but tonight I was craving the simple basic hero, butter chicken with naan. I hadn’t been back in years, and walking in I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be thrilled with my choice. But upon opening the bag I was smacked in the face with aroma, and once I licked the first drop of curry, I honestly danced with joy, MY GOD that butter chicken is the best I’ve ever tried!

Food is amazing and variety is great. I love the butter chicken, the included Chai tea and coffee. The decor, ambience and the interior design is on point. Service is great, everyone is friendly. Lastly, the restaurant is extremely clean, the kitchen staff are even wearing hair nets. I appreciate that a lot.
