After an afternoon drive along Sunset Cliffs, taking in the stunning ocean views and golden hues of the Pacific, we found ourselves craving Thai flavors that would match the beauty of the sunset. Soi OB delivered exactly that.
The moment we stepped inside, the aroma of sizzling spices and freshly cooked meats was enough to confirm we had made the right choice.
With so many tempting options on the menu, we decided to start with a few dishes that promised both crunch and rich flavor.
Spicy Chicken Wings – These golden crispy wings offered a perfect balance of heat and flavor. The crunch is satisfying, and the sauce packs a punch without overwhelming the palate
Thai Crispy Chicken Wings – these wings are fried to perfection, served with a house sweet sauce that enhances their savory goodness. The texture is light and crispy, making them an excellent appetizer.
Khao Moo Kob Moo Dang– Perfectly fried crispy pork belly, served over rice with a rich, flavorful sauce. The pork belly is beautifully crisp, making each bite a delightful experience.
Overall Experience
Soi OB impresses with its dedication to authentic Thai street food. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are bold, and the service is friendly. Whether you’re craving crispy wings or a hearty rice dish, this spot delivers a satisfying meal in a laid-back setting.

I’ve been searching for moo ping like the kind I had in Bangkok, Thailand, and that search ended here! The moo ping transported me back to the moment I tasted that sweet smoked pork hot off the street food grill. We also tried the fried tofu; It was nice and crispy. The Holy Basil pork dish was super savory and flavorful. The tom yum noodles were delicious as well. But the absolute winner was the moo ping. I’ll be coming back for that often!
This restaurant is an order and sit counter, so do not expect anyone to come get your order!
Bonus: Great parking!

Cozy, well-appointed dining room. Delicious food! We had to ask for a few things that should be standard, but those items were with a smile. Prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for. Totally worth the splurge!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for 6 years, but over the past year or so the quality has really gone downhill. As another reviewer mentioned recently, I was disappointed to only get TWO pieces of tofu in my meal. Basically no protein and all noodles. Might have to try another Thai spot moving forward.

Excellent Pad Thai with really good portion size in nicely furnished Thai Street Food place. My friend took the Khao Soi which was also great and really well spiced. The food comes on real plates and not on plastic single use trays which is great. The staff is friendly and the restaurant offers inside seating but also nice outside seating on nice benches. I would definitely recommend coming here if you are looking for really good and original Thai street food. Lots of vegetarian options available.

Such a great meal! The pumpkin curry is delicious! I got it with chicken and the medium spice level and it was just right. Will be back!

Quality has dropped with new management.
Avoid the Ginger Fish!
Garlic pepper with roast pork was good.
The white rice with both meals could use a side sauce.
