The food here is absolutely delicious! I stopped in for lunch and the buffet had pulled pork, fried chicken, fried catfish, corn, potatoes with gravy and that’s not even counting the fresh salad bar and the dessert table, which are all included in the price.
The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. You can really tell this is a family-run place, and they put a lot of care into both the food and the experience.
Don’t hesitate to give this spot a try, you’ll be glad you did. I know my family and I will definitely be coming back soon!

In town for a conference and stumbled upon this cafe. Very friendly and inviting atmosphere. The food choices on the buffet are great. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is awesome!

I have lunch at Sam and Nancy’s Cafe every chance I am downtown. This is true home cooking with quality meats and produce. The homemade pies are over the top. I really appreciate the clean, quiet and open dining area where I can decompress from work. I thank this family for giving us the best place to have lunch downtown!!

Good American food. Full buffet was $16, but other cheaper options were available. Seating is in the bank lobby and is a little echoey. The owners used to run Caesar’s Table on Market street. Menu is updated each week on Facebook.

Sam and Nancy’s is fantastic. I have eaten there several times. Today was Mexican on the buffet. Some of the best chicken noodle soup you’ll ever eat. The ambiance being on the first floor of Meritrust corporate office is nice, plenty of light and not too loud. If you haven’t tried this jewell in Downtown Wichita, give it a try.

I got a Chicago dog at the farm and art market in old town last Saturday. Yes, it was 9 AM in the morning, but it hit the spot. One of the better Chicago dogs with the perfect ingredients to make it official. The Man working the hotdog cart, assuming Sam was very nice and made for a great conversation. I will definitely be back no matter what time of the day.

The buffet is a cut above standard food found on a buffet. The coconut catfish is delicious and there was a choice of tasty cakes and pies. It also includes soup, salad and beverage. The staff was friendly and made sure we were getting enough to eat (including not to forget to try the dessert). I highly recommend it as a place to eat in downtown Wichita and I will intentionally plan to eat there again.
