The dough was light enough to not give you that heavy feeling in your stomach and strong enough to support the weight of the ingredients.
I also ordered the Veggie sandwich to taste the versatility of the restaurant. It was packed full of zucchini, mozzarella and a tomato jam that I wished I had a jar of. Once again, the bread held up to the task and was not soggy at all by the time I got home.
They also sell fresh made pastas and sauces if you decide to make your own concoction at home.
The three pizzas took about 10 min to cook and we waited in the car as there was a number of people coming in and ordering.
The pizza was good overall and the ingredients tasted fresh. The Margherita pizza was good and the basil popped with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The sausage and smoked mozzarella was ok, not a lot of sausage so the smoked mozzarella was the star of this one. The pepperoni was by far our favorite with a good number of pepperoni on each slice with very good cheese. The only downside was there was a lot of crust for each pizza. Hopefully they can get a few tables outside when the weather is nicer as it would be great to enjoy the pizza with a fresh drink right there. Definitely would come back again!
Second time, I called in my order cause I wanted to ask about the beet salad. The online ordering doesn’t allow for changes so it was easier to call for pickup! Got to see the shop as they are in the Open Hands spot. Got the Margherita pizza, garlic nots and beet salad. All yummy!
I’ll be going back for more pizza and take a closer look at the pastas and frozen food.
Note that they’re on the backside of the building. There’s plenty of parking. As it’s a little shop, there are no tables for dining. They’ve got the Open Hands pasta, frozen food items and beer and wine. Makes for an easy one stop shop to pickup for dinner!
It’s also located inside Open Hand which is a little shop with a variety of their own pastas as well as other fresh ingredients – meats, cheeses, sauces, spreads, and more.
The entrance is at the back of the building and there’s plenty of room to park in the lot.
The volume of food you get for the 14-inch pizza has decreased significantly. The pizzas we ordered had 2 to 3 inch wide crust, significant topping reduction, and the overall pizza size shrunk. The flavor was still there, but compared to what we ordered about six months ago…it was just so disappointing.
The problem with shrinkflation is you memorize what product you get after ordering it dozens of times. And when you order it again and effectively get half the food for the same price…well, you just get disappointed.
Pains me to 3 star, but it is what it is…
But the real star of the meal was the fresh burrata. It’s insane. There’s a reason it costs more than a pizza.
Take-out only.
Location was not hard to find but more difficult at night as outside signage isn’t great.
No indoor seating but there are benches and trashcans outside.
