If I could rate higher than five stars I would! We had read reviews of gluten free options and had to give it a try. The food was amazing. Our waitress was new and did a fabulous job and was very sweet. The atmosphere was wonderful and full of life. Starting with chips and salsa which were fresh and warm. We enjoyed the taquitos appetizer, fried fish tacos, cheese enchiladas and two deserts. The churros were out of this world. Generous portion size and very affordable! Will definitely be back when visiting the area. Thank you so much for such a great experience.

This is one of my FAVORITE local restaurants. I kid you not, I’m here at least once a week. This is the most welcoming restaurant in town. Marcos and the whole staff make you feel like family from the second you walk in. The food is good, the portions are huge (the large bowl of soup is literally bigger than my head), and the margs are STRONG. I wish I could give this place more than five stars because they really deserve it. And while you can’t find it on the menu, make sure to ask for the churros. They’re the best!

We came here on a Saturday for lunch. First it was frightening, we were the only people in the dining area, ONLY people! But we stayed. Chips and salsa and queso pretty basic but salsa was fresh and chips were hot so we were happy. We got the quesadilla, and the fajita tacos plate which luckily came unassembled just as fajita anything should! Quesadilla person was disappointed in the size of the quesadilla but said it tasted pretty good. The fajitas were also good, pretty basic, Americanized Mexican food, no different than every other place in town. The steak was a little dry and and salty but it was good. My only complaint was the vegetables were sparse and tasted so much like the meat you couldn’t tell so that cheapened it a bit. All in al it was okay. I’d eat here again because the service was great and the have a happy hour on margaritas during the week.

I’m going to give it another shot, because there were some errors with my order. I did end up getting the cauliflower street tacos, those were quite delicious. Also it’s really awesome that they have Best Vice Ever vegan ice cream. I got the hot chocolate flavor ice cream, it’s so good. The food is amazing, but I’m yet to actually get what I order the first time I order it. If you don’t have food restrictions this is THE PLACE to get Mexican in Lexington. If you do, it’s still the best choice but check your food closely.

Visiting the Lexington area. I ordered food to go. They were fast, friendly and brought the food out to my vehicle. Fajitas for two and a side of queso. It was fantastic!

Would get 5 stars but here’s the thing: why do yall always lie about being out of churros? Every time i have come morning, afternoon, or night, for over a year you’re “out of churros at the moment.” Obviously you aren’t out churros for a year, you just don’t feel like making them, maybe it’s a hassle, but come on.
It is the rapido location. Still “out of churros.”

Odd experience. Gotta walk up a flight of stairs upon entering into a building that seems very old with an odd smell. Staff are nice and friendly. Upon seating, waiter acted like he didn’t know what a bean burrito was, but was still very nice. Salsa was like watered down canned tomatoes. Guacamole was the worst I’d ever had. Tasteless. The actual food was the worst part. Chicken tasted like it had been cooked in a 400 year old kitchen and pan. Beans were not edible. Worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to and it’s not remotely close. Unsure how this place has 4.3 average stars.

Always excellent service. The portion sizes of the food are quite generous. They actually give you a good amount of queso unlike many similar restaurants. I have tried many different things here from fish to burritos to enchiladas and have never been disappointed. They also have Xooker coupons to make your trip more affordable. Even without coupons, the food and service is an excellent value. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Lexington (and the world?) and I usually go every week. Don’t let the humble exterior deter you, this restaurant clearly is home to an owner, servers, and cooks who care about serving the community a wonderful dining experience.

The food was decent but the service in this establishment could use a facelift. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
Our waitress was not prompt and as we waited to try to flag her down she was sitting and eating across the room. Our needs as guests were not priority by any means.
Needless to say thanks to the margaritas it deserved two stars.

First time here… not impressed. Went for dinner, place closes at 9 but online it says 10 . Food could have been better, don’t know if it’s typically like this or if it was rushed.
