When I lived in Anderson this was my go-to spot. I was a regular customer for years, I used to love this place. I have never had issues until last night.
Yesterday after my local hibachi place wasn’t accepting cards, I decided to make the 30min+ drive for Mishima.
I called ahead to make sure they were accepting cards, and let the waitress know that I would call back when I got closer to actually place the order as I was driving from out of town. The second time I called (to place the order) I was placed “on hold” and the call was disconnected. I called back a third time and was then placed on hold again. I held for 16 minutes until I pulled into the parking lot. I disconnected the phone, walked inside to two girls behind the counter on their cell phones. only a few tables occupied in the building, they weren’t busy. I placed my to go and was informed it would be a 30+ min wait. (As someone in the food industry myself, I still tipped them $5 because I’m not a POS.) At this point I had driven all the way there so I decided to wait for said food. When I arrived home to eat, I noticed I received carrots when I specifically requested no carrots. I got so many carrots. There was grit from the grill in the veggies, and they were very over cooked. The rice was mush. The steak was probably the only good thing about this meal. I was highly disappointed.

Not the greatest food. Staff seemed to be a bunch of college kids. They probably don’t take much pride in their work which is reflected in the quality of the food.

Went here yesterday 7/20 walked in & was warm inside & had a few floor fans blowing. Cleanliness was not the best. Well we got our food & rice was on the cold side & clumpy & the chicken was not good at all had a different texture that we didn’t like & taste. Didn’t want to risk getting sick so didn’t eat much of anything just paid & left. Will definitely not be back. Overall experience was bad

Food was decent but the portions have gotten smaller over time. There were only 2 scallops and about 5 bites of steak with a sprinking of vegetables.
No on acknowledged me when I entered and I had to interrupt someone who was straightening up to get my food.
Place is hot inside. Needs more ventilation.

Absolutely ridiculous. We went tonight to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. We arrived at 5:30pm and didn’t get our last plate of food until after 6:30. Everything came out wrong and then it was brought out plate by plate in 15 min increments. My food was ice cold by the time the kids received their food. I took 2 bites of mine and it was inedible due to the amount of soy sauce. I mean it was so bad that it burned the back of my throat! The waitress didn’t care and thought that a 25% discount was enough when none of us ate more than 10 bites of our food. It was horrible food and horrible service. wasted 80$, an hour trip to Anderson and left with 5 hungry kids. Will NEVER be back

So… my husband and I went and tried this place today, well I unfortunately don’t recommend it the steak was chewy and rice was okay and the veggies ( my mushrooms and zucchini) I couldn’t even recognize them they were cooked so much, my tea was room temp ice melted in no time at all. My husband can only eat meat and his portion of meat was like a 1 1/4 cup of meat witch was steak, shrimp, and scallops the owner made big deal about discounting it bc he ONLY got meat and nothing else with it (carnivore diet) and for got at the end and then after we paid she realized it and handed him back 2 dollars . We will never go back.

Had an amazing experience today, customer serive was top notch! Ive honestly never encountered such friendly, down-to-earth people even in the hospitality industry. They were unfortunately out of Lo Mein, but took care of us in outstanding fashion. Just all around good people! And they have a first responder discount!

This place used to be the best but after today I won’t be going back. The quality has noticeably decreased and the price has gone up from when I used to love the place. I got the standard teriyaki chicken. The chicken was stringy and weird and the rice tasted like what you buy from the frozen section in a grocery store. Not sure what happened but it’s terrible now and I won’t be going back

I have been here before and I Loved it. A nice casual place to eat lunch. I love their vegetables with rice and broccoli. They are quick about cooking your food to order. A nice quiet atmosphere. The waitress is nice and pleasant. You have to try their shrimp and scallops. The best ever!
