Delicious and affordable Japanese sushi place! Their rolls are amazing. They serve you edamame for an appetizer. I ordered Giant rolls, Rainbow Rolls and Spicy Salmon Rolls. Everything tastes good. The chef and staff are really friendly. I’ll definitely go again for lunch.

The food was flavorful, nice and warm. We had the miso soup, veggie tempura, agedashi tofu, side of rice and salad. We also had Bay island, fiesta special and fire cracker. I didn’t particularly like the Bay island but the other 2 sushi had flavors. Will surely recommend visiting this. Staff is super nice and warm.

Decent neighborhood sushi joint. It’s got some solid menu items, but there’s a few misses sprinkled in there. Sushi is of an alright freshness and cut. Service was fine, too. Seems to be a family run business

We were blown away by Ni-Mo on their prices (yes, sushi at a bargain) and the amount you get. I don’t think I recall any sushi joint that matches their price and quantity in a bustling downtown area. Now yes, you do get the “discounted” quality of sushi and everything else. Purely based on food, I would give it 3 stars. However, the overall value we got from Ni-Mo is a solid 4 stars. There’s a part of me that yearns for Ni-Mo to just focus a little bit more on quality but then, they are literally serving sushi at a discount. Not for dates. Go in when you’re just hungry and can eat a horse.

The pricing is extremely reasonable given Bay Area rents (12 buck lunches). The portions in the lunch bento box were generous. The service was very efficient and friendly enough. The hot tea was great – not too weak or strong. There are vegetarian and omnivore options. Seating is accessible, armless. Place is clean, food is fresh. Ambience is fine, but not amazing. I think the flavors are not quite there to merit 5 stars, but it is quite good. Parking is usually on the same block. To be honest I’m a little surprised given the good value and consistency that they aren’t more crowded. It may be folks prefer a peppier more hands on cheerleader type of server, or the slightly diner feel isn’t fancy enough ambience for some. I like the things they do to be efficient like leaving the pot of tea, the pitcher of water so you can refill yourself. I know some folks prefer the more hands on hovering type of service that feels a bit more pampered, but tbh I have always found that level of service a bit elitist. I appreciate not having a hawk like watchfulness to see when my last sip is gone and rush in to fill. I find it more relaxing to do that for myself.
Somehow they’ve found the right balance of ensuring every need gets met (noticing when they forgot an item, quick to respond when we indicated wanting assistance -check) with allowing the space to not be overbearing. Only been here a couple of times, but I’m sure we will continue to enjoy this venue when in the area.

Staff is super nice and friendly. Sushi is pretty good for its price. The baked rolls are the true highlight.

Delicious food! Lots of variety with bento boxes – huge portions and good prices! I loved bento-box B! So delicious! The tempura was lightly battered. The california roll – best I’ve ever had! The short ribs were tender! I would come here again! I think I found my new and favorite japanese restaurant!

Very good vegetarian bento and excellent friendly service. Tempura veggies and agedashi tofu both just right. Tasty avocado-cuc roll and tempura sweet potato rolls. Delicious rice. Relaxed, spacious, and clean. Glad I found them after an SFO drop-off.

A relaxing spot to eat and drink tea

They have outdoor seating

Tempura is always on point. The sashimi is cut thick here, not the thin traditional way. Sushi rolls are good. I like the bento boxes

Great spot for work lunch, always fast service (when I go on weekdays). Lots of regulars

Free WiFi

Solid 4 stars (which is above average) in my book, but I want there to be more patrons so I’ll give them 5.

Only a few ppl there on a weekday lunch. Ordered a roll + hand roll. It came with hot tea and edamame on the house. Rice was good – not mushy and flavored well. Roll was large (but still good rice to other ingredient ratio) and their ingredients were fresh.
