After my favorite Italian restaurant closed there really wasn’t a place close that served great Italian food. While driving around I looked on my phone to see if there was any around my area. I found this place and It always escaped my mind when looking for places to eat. I stopped in for lunch and I was greeted with a kind waitress who led me to my table. I decided to order something simple eggplant parm and minestrone soup and my goodness it was absolutely amazing! Much better then the other place I use to frequent. The soup was warm and flavorful. The eggplant parm was perfectly seasoned and delicious with every bite. Even the texture was spot on. After a delicious meal I was kind of dreading the bill after the quality meal I just ate. To my utter surprise it was only 17 dollars for the entire meal. Not only was it more delicious then the old place it was much cheaper too. To whomever is looking for a delicious relaxing place to spend for a lunch or dinner look no further than here. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Pleasantly surprised. My Love and I went out for a nice dinner. Well deserved I might say. We started with Peppers & Sausage, an appetizer, which was a meal within itself. She had Gnocchi with Meat Sauce. I had Spinach & Ricotta Rigatoni. We both had the Chicken Pastina Soup. We then shared the Tiramisu and I almost threw my spoon cause it was so freaking good. Everything was amazing. Highly recommend.

8:45PM on a slow winter Wednesday night…CarryOut was rockin’ and the kitchen didn’t miss a beat!! Caesar Salads had plenty of croutons and just the right amount of dressing. Lobster Ravioli HOME RUN . Chicken Marsala never disappoints. And plenty of deeeelicious bread came home in its own box . DEFINITELY would eat here again. And again and again!!

The past few years as I’ve worked to reinvent myself, I’ve eaten a inexpensively as possible. My mental health therapist is always on my about self love. I’m addicted to good food and sugar. (Part of my health problems )
Today, some money came through that I wasn’t expecting. Paid some bills. Got maintenance for my car. I’m going to get new glasses (these are 6 years old!). And I snuck a few extra dollars out to remind myself of my love for quality.
This is tomato basil soup and breads as my first course. Then Linguini Frutti Di Mare. I finished it with ONE mini canolli. It was so delicious. Like the perfect steak after 4 years of hamburger, only better because pasta! (Pasta and bread are on my no eat list, BTW. ) This pasta has muscles, shrimp, calamari, and scallops. So much delicious!
I really missed a chardonnay with it, but I am doing Uber tonight. No alcohol allowed.
Oh! This was at Aurelio’s on Garfield in Clinton Twp. The place is small and unassuming but so much better on the inside.

We arrived a little before six and were promptly seated. Water arrived immediately and, a few moments later, our server took our drink orders. Once the dinner order was made, food came relatively quick, albeit my dinner companion’s meal was wrong. After a bit, the server exchanged for the correct order. We declined dessert, weren’t offered coffee and the bill presented so fast, it felt like ‘ok, you’re done, pay up and go, we need the table’. We did. We were there for maybe an hour and a quarter.
Now, the atmosphere was ok, but in the short time we were there, it didn’t just get noisy, it got LOUD. I don’t enjoy having to shout across the table to my dinner companion just to be heard.

Aurelio’s is one of my favorite restaurants. They are by far the best “Bang for the buck” in the area. The food is always piping hot, delicious, and usually big enough portions for even me to have leftovers, which is unusual. Anything with their lemon sauce is fantastic, and they have the best red sauce around. I was reading some of the 1-star reviews, and I have to believe they are “phony”, or written by competitor restaurants, because we have been going there regularly for over 15 years, and have never once had even a mildly disappointing experience.

As a pasta connoisseur, I LOVED this place! From the best ceasar salad I think ive ever had, to the beautiful atmosphere and bathroom, to the savory creamy sauce. I got the lobster ravioli, and they were very generous with the lobster!! This place almost had us licking our plates clean the sauce was so good haha. 10/10 🙂
