This has been my favorite local Thai place for years.
If you come get the “rice soup”. It’s not on the menu but they will know what it is. Before Covid they used to serve cups of the rice soup when they took your order.
Since the pandemic it’s stopped but you can still order it even tho it’s not on the menu. Regulars know just how simple and lovely it is.

the food was dull, bland, generally blah. not terrible, but way below average for a neighborhood Thai takeout. Plus side it was generous portions and ready at the exact time we ordered.

I ordered pineapple curry for take out and really loved the food a lot. If I could describe how good it was I’d say it was like you can feel the curry hit your soul and then there comes the burst of flavors that shake you up in a good way.
The portion size was enough for leftovers. We’d definitely go there again and again.

Good food, reasonably priced, prompt service. Enjoyed the Pad Se Ew, a personal benchmark for Thai food, and this was well and promptly prepared. Return visits are recommended.

Having visited Thailand a few years ago, I know what real Thai food should taste like. I have tried a few Thai food places here in the Portland area and have been mostly disappointed l. The food is either not spicy enough, too spicy or just plain bland. Thai Princess was a very pleasant surprise. The owner is Thai, and he knows how to cook proper Thai food with spiciness. It’s not so hot that it kills the flavor but actually compliments the taste, making it spicy but still allowing the flavors to come out. It’s reasonably priced, and the portions are good-sized. I have discovered my go-to Thai food place finally.

Update: went and exchanged the next day. They did offer a refund (after my partner and long time customer asked). I took them up on the replacement and tried the mild. It was ok. Gang garee is my favorite Thai dish and I’ve had it hundreds of times (usually spicy). I probably wouldn’t order here again. To be fair my partner and her kids eat here often and love their Salmon Curry.
I changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars because they apologized and tried to make it right.
Ordered yellow curry medium spicy and it was so spicy it made me throw up. Their solution is to bring it back as I’m in the bathroom throwing up. The lady said oh our medium is spicy. Nowhere on the menu does it warn.

So there’s no AT&T network available around that area, and they won’t give the wifi. Saying that the wifi is connected to the card machine and they can’t share it with the customers. Foods are delicious .

Hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Their chicken yellow curry cannot be beat by anywhere else I’ve tried thus far. They also don’t joke around with their spice and I couldn’t be happier – when they say spicy, they mean it!! If you manage to save any for leftovers, it will just taste better the next day. They are definitely understaffed, so patiently go in knowing that the wait is well worth it.
