Love love love Hick’ry Pit. Aside from the fact I’ve been eating here for 35+ years, their food is amazing, service 5 star all adding to to an experience that’s hard to match elsewhere. Their ribs and smoked meats are to die for as are their amazing breakfasts, pies and baked goods such as their off the hook Danish sweet rolls large enough to feed 3 people each. Great portions, reasonable pricing for the quality and price size. I don’t like their salads or sides but everything else is Heavan. If you enjoy country gravy add I do then you’ll be pleased to discover they have the best country gravy in Silicon Valley. Highly recommend!

We went with a large group today and we got great service. The food came out fast, hit, and very tasty. In fact, my youngest said the Denver omelet was the best omelet he had ever had. The coffee wasn’t the best, but all in all a good experience.

We were greeted by a young man. He was nice and seemed helpful. He asked if we wanted a table for 5 or a booth. Being that we are all taller and larger, we asked for a table. He escorted us to the back of the restaurant. We walked past 4 filled booths and couldnt help but notice that all the patrons were “white”.
We got to our table and a waitress yelled across the restaurant ” hey, who is gonna be the server there?” That was embarrassing and not professional to say the least. We told the young man, can we sit here… we don’t want u to get in trouble? Seems like she dont want to serve us. He said, it’s ok… someone will be with u in a minute. 15 minutes later, the waitress finally comes over and says… “alright, what do u want to order.” We didnt like that. We asked for a few more minutes. She walked a away and we all walked out.
This was the second time …wanting to try this restaurant out. Again, we were seated and left for a long time in a non crowded restaurant. This was the second time we walked out. Not sure why in both visits we were left at our table for a long time.
Just a side note, both visits, all patrons were older, and white. We are a brown skinned Mexican Family. I sincerely hope that is NOT the reason we were not served in a timely matter.
Needless to say, my family and I will not go back. Lost good patrons. Poor customer service.
At 7:20 pm on a Saturday Evening. Cooks were standing around doing nothing … waitress talking to another waitress. The young man who greeted us was the only one trying to do his job.

Food was really good. For breakfast I had the corned beef cubes with cubed potatoes and onions. My scrambled eggs had a bit of griddle residue on them, but the waitress quickly handled it and brought me back a fresh plate. Also the waitress was so nice, she gets 5+ Stars, and I gave her a good tip. The cook and bus boy were very nice as well. The restroom smelled so bad though, like sewage. The floor drain was stopped up and had some standing water around it. A real turnoff for lots of people, especially me.
Fix the old smelly bathroom(s) (Super important), spruce the place up a bit, fix the sagging wood structure attached to the building at the rear parking lot rear entrance door, looks dangerous. Most of all you have the best employees….they rock!!!

The good: Delicious food. Fast, friendly service. Good selection as long as you are not a vegetarian but if you are why are you going to a BBQ resteraunt? Prices are OK not cheap but not ridiculous. Portions are well sized. Good family atmosphere.
The bad: Bathrooms could use some attention. Paper towels are always empty and there is a smell. Over time this smell has not gone away.

I would have given them 5 stars but their fryer wasn’t working so no fries on this day. But the food was great and the portions were fulfilling. The service was prompt and cheerful and the pies are excellent! Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Love the Breakfast and dinner options. Fresh, homemade desserts. Good quality food. Best, thick cut bacon. I don’t much care for their ribs, but everything else is good. Run by a Steelers fan and his friendly staff. They also have a room for group meetings. If your child colors and menu mat they display it and give a voucher for the next visit kids meal.

We love the Original Hick’ry in Campbell for breakfast but they’re always great for lunch, too. I believe they also serve dinner. Their food is delicious and fresh! They’re service is also always great. We used to go to Los Gatos Cafe, which is closer to our home, for breakfast but their food is not consistent and we always have to wait an hour to two hours to eat breakfast. Original Hick’ry definitely has the best breakfast and has a very large restaurant so we usually do not have to wait to be seated. They have a great menu with a lot of yummy options. They have have great coffee unlike The Los Gatos Cafe. Thank you
