Nick and Johnny’s Osteria offers authentic Italian Cuisine in a casual environment. We have a great Happy Hour from 4:30 to 6 pm in our lounge with a great menu of Sandwiches, Salads, Pasta, and Pizza. We hadn’t been here in a few years. Started out with them not finding our reservation. Next it took a long time for a server. Ordered an appetizer and bottle of wine. App arrived but no silverware. Ordered dinner and it was a long wait. Food was very good, service not so much. Waited a long time for boxes. Got check pretty quick. Was overcharged for wine and both entrees. Told server and she said she’d take care of us. Took $10 off. Equalled $2 off after overcharges. Not sure if we’ll ever go back.

The eggplant parmigiana and tomato basil soup were delicious and a generous portion. Topped the meal off with an ice cream dessert! Our server was excellent. I preferred the seating in a booth in the bar area over a small table for 2 in the dining room area.

We were sat a little before 7pm and after we were sat down asked to move to a booth as one of the chairs was rocking. After being moved we waited about ten minutes and nobody came over, despite all of the new tables getting water and service. We asked a waitress who was assigned to us and she went and checked with the hostess. Ten minutes later (over 20 minutes after being sat) we went up to the hostess to ask who our waiter was and she realized she never assigned anyone. She said someone would be with us shortly. Five more minutes went by and nobody came. We never got water, service, nothing. After almost 30 minutes of waiting we got up and left and the hostess just said “oh sorry” in a very careless way. We have been coming here for over 15 years but are now extremely disappointed.

I called about a month in advance to make a reservation for Thanksgiving day for 12ppl. I asked the hostess are you open on Thanksgiving day, she replied yes, and put me down for the reservation. The day before, I called (at approximately @545 on Wednesday) to confirm my reservation and the hostess confirmed it for me. I did not think to get a name due to the fact that I had spoken to somebody twice with confirmation, I didn’t even think there’d be any issues. Upon arrival on Thanksgiving day, we all pull into the parking lot and THE PLACE IS CLOSED. Not a soul in sight. I was flabbergasted. After numerous attempts to reach the restaurant, we finally spoke to the manager the next day, who also seemed shocked. The manager stated that they knew they were going to be closed for Thanksgiving day since September! This completely ruined our Thanksgiving day, as we were all looking forward to this. We ended up having to go home, take food out of the freezer, and scramble for a last minute meal. We have been coming here for years now. I don’t understand how a hostess can be that misinformed to tell me the wrong information, twice, unless they were just totally careless. Whatever the reasoning was, it was just a HUGE disappointment.

I sent a pic of my gnocchi dinner that I had Thursday night (on private FB message).
I sent the gnocchi’s back because they were under cooked. I got the (very small portion) back – overloaded with gravy! My husband had ordered the bolognese without peas. It was served to us with peas so they took it back and made it without peas. The waitress felt bad and offered us a free dessert. When I got home and reread the receipt, I was charged 9.50 for peanut butter pie which was the only good thing we had. Do better please!!!
We had invited another couple to join us and they were not pleased with their meal either.
In addition, every time the door opened we were gagged with the smell of cigars. Apparently a men’s group of 6 like to smoke rather than eat.
We actually drove down from Orlando – so very disappointed!!!

There were four of us adults. The wait staff was pretty good, but they could have been quicker due to the fact there weren’t many people there. My friend’s order of gnocchi (which was what she came from Orlando for) had to go back to the kitchen b/c it was undercooked. Her husband asked the waitress if he could have the peas eliminated in his food and she replied, yes no problem. The food came out with peas dispersed throughout the pasta and sauce. I ordeed what I thought was antipasta salad, but not sure what some of the stuff was in that plate, though I did try some. For $20 that was very disappointing. I also ordered a meatball on the side which had no taste whatsoever. My husband was the only one that got what he ordered, shrimp scampi, and could eat it, but it was entirely w/o any taste. We did mention all of this to the waitress and she comp’d us two desserts, which we took to go, as they were near closing. I don’t know, maybe none of us are Italian enough, but McDonald’s would have been better!

Had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner with my husband and mom. From the minute we checked in until we left service was courteous, prompt and professional. Terry was the best. All this and entertainment. We have been here before and will surely be back!

Great food, horrible service. Had to get my own water from the bar after waiting 20 minutes. Didn’t get my bill until 40 minutes after done eating. No apology from the server, just excuses that she was too busy.

I was drawn to this place because of the coupon I recieved via usps in my mailbox. Reminded me of a restraunt that would have been part of the sopranos tv show. Food was good and for the first time Ina long time had no complaints. Soup was great and I burned my mouth even though she told me it was really hot lol. Hidden gem and actually was difficult to locate. Had it not been for the Postal Service ad I never would have tried this place but am likely to return
