We offer thoughtful, (sometimes whimsical) seasonal and neighborly selections of food wine and cocktails. Yet none of these offerings mean anything without kind and thoughtful service for our growing small community. Restaurants are about revelry and investing precious time indulging with family and friends. Allow us to host these rare and glorious minutes. Happy hour is advertised Monday–Friday from 3–5 PM. I called earlier to confirm since it was a holiday, and the hostess called me back after checking with the manager and confirmed happy hour was being offered. I came in excited, specifically to try the small plates.
Unfortunately, once seated, there was a last-minute switch—only happy hour drinks were available, along with a very limited midday menu. None of the happy hour food items were being offered, which was a huge disappointment.
Since options were limited, we ordered from the midday menu: fish and chips and a hamburger. The fish and chips, including the coleslaw, were extremely bland and desperately needed seasoning. The burger itself was good, but the fries also lacked salt. The bread and butter was just a small baguette cut into four pieces—definitely not worth the price.
Because the menu was so limited and the dinner menu wasn’t available yet (it was only 4 PM), we couldn’t try much else. Overall, there wasn’t enough to properly explore or enjoy. The only memorable item was the martini with the caviar bump.
I can only rate this visit based on the few items we tried, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations.

Beautiful dining experience, great outdoor space, phenomenal service and delicious food! This was my first time trying fried green tomatoes and the Milestone truly makes them exceptional. We also got the bread and butter appetizer and I got the chicken sandwich, while my aunt ordered the bacon wrapped scallops. The bacon, was unfortunately undercooked and rubbery, but that was the only item not over-the-top good. I look forward to returning and trying more seasonal offerings when I’m in the area. Milestone is such a hidden gem in El Dorado Hills! The setting is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, with a small lake and fountain that create a magical atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot whether you want to enjoy a relaxed brunch, a cozy dinner, or just a drink with a view.
The food is delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. During the day you can usually get a table without a reservation, but in the evening it’s definitely better to book ahead since it gets busy. I love that you can choose to sit indoors or outdoors with a view of the lake — both options are wonderful.
It’s also a great place to take a walk afterwards, even with your dog, and enjoy the charming surroundings. Highly recommend Milestone for anyone looking for a perfect mix of great food, warm atmosphere, and a stunning location!

We had a fantastic experience here on Sunday morning the 25th of Jan 2026. Sheena was our waitress and could not have had better service. She was a delight to chat with and her recommendations were spot on. The Hostess (we did not get her name) greeted us with a huge smile and a great welcoming attitude.
The food was amazing as well. My wife had the Pozole Soup which I tried (ended up trying many spoonful’s LOL) and I had the Eggs Benedict. Fantastic, both of them. I also had a Vodka Mule (they make their own ginger beer) that was the best I have had. Again service and food was 1st class.

I’ve been here several times now so I’m leaving this review to kind of go over all of the experiences I’ve had here. The food, always tastes great, I really want to love this place because I like the food here. Unfortunately the service is hit or miss.. I’ve dined in and taken food to go, the servers are usually great while dining in but the hostesses they have had really make me turn away from this place. The last few months they seem very confused and annoyed when asking questions or placing a to go order. My first experience they gave me a 20 minute wait time and it ended up being over an hour and they seemed annoyed that I kept checking back in, we ended up having dinner somewhere else and they finally called back another hour later… This second experience I placed a to go order and they had to walk away each time for a few minutes for every question I asked.. They actually said they don’t know anything about the menu (all I asked for was a side of bread and they said that’s not on the menu) and they had to walk away for a few minutes to ask each question.. The most recent experience, today, I ordered a cup of soup to go (13$ before tax and tip) and I received the smallest container (pictured).. A quarter cup of soup and a bit of cheese on top.. less than half a cup of soup for 13$.. I’m sure they serve it in the restaurant great but come on, that’s a lot of money for a quarter cup of soup, when I thought I was going to get “a cup of soup”.
Like I said I really want to like this place because the food is good but we have a lot of great restaurants around that I don’t think I’ll be coming back here again just because of the service

We’ve been regulars at Milestone for a long time, and while the food consistently hits the mark (the roast beef dip is incredible, seriously, don’t skip it), it’s Sheena who keeps us coming back again and again!
From the moment we walk in, we are always greeted by an amazing hostess, then Sheena sets the tone with her infectious personality. She’s always so welcoming, remembers exactly what we’ll be drinking before we even sit down. Sheena provides a level of attention to detail that you just don’t see anymore.
Whether we’re in the mood to try something new or stick with our favorites, Sheena always has a solid recommendation. Her level of service is consistently top tier, friendly, professional, and 100% dialed in. She’s a huge part of why Milestone feels like a place we want to return to, not just for the food, but for the overall experience. We’ve grown to know and adore several of the staff at Milestone over the years.
The menu is almost always fantastic. We’d love to see the menu rotate a little more often. But Milestone always remains a go-to. The kitchen team deserves major props, the food is nearly always on point, and with Sheena leading the front-of-house game, it’s hard to go wrong.
We love the atmosphere at Milestone too. In the evenings when the lights are dim, it creates an intimate vibe, and the outdoor area is always so relaxing. At times it does get a bit loud inside which can make it hard to have a conversation but this just highlights the energy and fun that can happen when you’re at Milestone. We keep coming back, and often, though admittedly…a big part of that has to do with Sheena and her amazing customer service!
