We stopped by after doing some shopping on Pleasant Grove Mainstreet. The chips and salsa were tasty, the Chile Relleno was classic, and the enchiladas were nice. Great place to get a bite, great service, and thr Cocolito Cooler (think strawberry pina colada) was tasty even on a winter day.

I always feel bad when I can’t give 5 stars, but I hope this feedback is helpful for the restaurant and maybe it will be better next time I come in and I can change this to a 5.

The food was delicious. The staff was courteous and polite. I don’t need the atmosphere to be fancy.

My main complaint was how skimpy the food was. I ordered a shrimp and veggie burrito and it had 5 very small shrimp in it and so few vegetables, I would not call it a veggie burrito at all. The meal was 75% tortilla shell and sauce. For $20, I would like a proper meal.

Also, nothing that influenced my rating, but having a security camera looking right at your table while you eat is pretty unsettling. Maybe hide it or aim it differently?

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. Here’s what made it exceptional:

Food Quality:
The food came out steaming hot, which immediately set the stage for a delicious meal.
Appetizer:

The homemade bean dip is an absolute standout. It’s rich, flavorful, and a must-try. The combination of fresh ingredients and a homemade touch really makes it shine.

Main Course:
I opted for the chili relleno, and it didn’t disappoint. The breading on the chili is exceptional and adds a delightful texture to the dish.

Specialty Drinks:
Be sure to try one of their cocolitos specialty drinks – they’re all incredible. They provide a refreshing and unique complement to the meal.

Parking and Location:
Parking is convenient, with options just across the street or on the same street as the restaurant. It’s reassuring to know that you won’t have to struggle to find a parking spot.

The restaurant is situated in the heart of downtown on historic Main Street, which adds to the overall charm of the experience.

Staff and Service:
The staff is friendly and accommodating. Although some of the newer staff may not have all the answers yet, their warmth and willingness to assist make up for it.

Service has consistently been quick during each of our visits, with no frustrating wait times. It’s clear that they value your time and prioritize efficient service.

Sides and Chips:
Don’t forget to order the bean dip; it’s a side that pairs well with any dish. The salsa and chips that come with the meal are a delightful appetizer, with a mild salsa that complements the flavors of the meal.
In summary, this restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience. With its hot and flavorful food, a standout bean dip, and a variety of specialty drinks to choose from, it’s a place that deserves a visit. The convenient parking options and historic Main Street location only add to the appeal. The staff’s friendliness and quick service make it a place you’ll want to return to. If you’re looking for a new dining spot in town, don’t miss this gem!

The chicken chimichanga at Cocolito’s is delicious! The rice and beans were phenomenal, some of the best I’ve ever had. I also really enjoyed the chips and salsa. Our server was kind and attentive. I definitely will be going back.

The main dishes had great flavor. The side dishes and appetizers were underwhelming. I arrived around 600ish with my family. We were the only ones there. Service was slow. The staff seemed more concerned with cleaning the place up to close for the night rather than making sure our drinks were full. Overall I’m still willing to give them another shot and come back because the food was delicious.

Delicious food all very reasonably priced. The owner was very kind and visited our table. Servers were a little inexperienced but they were young and probably in High School.

We were so excited to try this cute little establishment in downtown PG, however, it failed miserably to meet our expectations. Let’s start with the salsa..watery and tasteless (unfortunately this is what I was looking forward to the most). The chips are decent with just the right amount of salt, as are their taquitos with a crisp airy shell and satisfying crunch. The beans were burnt to a crisp, mimicking a cow pie, and the rice was definitely from the good ole package of Uncle Ben. Save your pesos and go somewhere else.

Great place for dinner. We love to try new places. The chips and salsa were great and they kept them full. I had a mushroom and bean burrito. It was tasty. I do wish there was a little more of the filling. The wife had the large nachos, not the biggest we have seen but very adequate. The staff was very friendly and professional. Clean environment. They seem to share a bathroom with a couple other businesses but that was clean and everything functioned will. I would go back and try more of the menu.

I really enjoyed our experience here. The food was delicious. The shredded beef is so flavorful. I liked it so much I went back again a few days after my first time going. Friendly and kind staff.

Very good, cozy laid back restaurant, serving old home style Mexican food. My chimi was excellent. The sauce was on point, and I cannot remember ever having horchata that I enjoyed as much as this.
