I’ve tried many Thai restaurants, and this place is truly second to none. The flavors blew me away — seriously addictive and absolutely unforgettable. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and everything exceeded my expectations. Hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had!

The food was absolutely amazing! fresh, hot, and full of flavor! I had my doubts walking in since it was empty, but this spot is definitely a hidden gem right outside of downtown Stamford. The wait wasn’t long at all, and the sauce was incredible. Highly recommend if you’re in Stamford or on a work break and don’t want to deal with the long wait times at the downtown restaurants. I’ll definitely be back soon!

My favorite place to get Sushi in Stamford! Good service, amazing food, and nice atmosphere. They have Gluten Free soy sauce for those who need.
I highly recommend the Naruto Roll!

This place has been around for years and has always provided great Thai food at reasonable prices. On this visit, the service wasn’t as top notch as usual, but the place was quite busy and there were a number of ‘regulars’ who commanded the majority of the attention – fair enough, I guess. I think this place is probably the best Thai restaurant for the food in the area.

Rated Ocha Thai at 4 stars (even) from my initial visit. It was a pleasant, uniquely charming atmosphere in its own way. The service was friendly, and I’d say adequately checked upon to make sure everything was satisfactory. The food; for a first time visit I was surprisingly impressed. It was fresh, flavorful, and enjoyable in comparison to many other sushi/Asian restaurants I’ve been too. They do offer a beer selection in addition to their regular beverage selection which I think pairs great when having sushi. Your orders served in a timely manner, no lengthy waiting even as it’s made fresh in your presence. Parking however can be a bit tricky as it’s located in Downtown Stamford, but will definitely revisit in wanting to try other dishes/specials considering they have both Thai and Japanese cuisine and their selection of rolls offered is pretty unique as well-which I will surely share those encounters even though they don’t offer an “All you can eat” experience to have dabble in various combinations.

I no longer live in Stamford, but I wanted to review Ocha Thai and Japanese Cuisine. The food is the very best in all of Stamford, and I have lived all over the US. The service is impeccable and the cleanliness of the restaurant is also impeccable. Lynn is a very nice person as is the male server who was so accommodating. The meals are also very generous proportions. The restaurant is a nice, quiet place away from the rowdy crowds.

I walked in super excited to get food a week ago and I saw that I was the only one in there. As soon as I walked in I didn’t feel welcomed and they closed the inside and outdoor door when I sat down. A man came to take my order wasn’t the nicest but I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I ordered my food but something told me not to eat it, I asked the man for some extra siracha and he laughed at me. I decided to leave because I didn’t feel safe in the environment as a young woman. So don’t go there alone or when there’s no one there. The lady was nice and apologized for his behavior. But then asked where i worked and I had to go because the questions were invasive. Just not a great safe atmosphere for young ladies alone. Went to Mechas instead☺️

Great location. Excellent food. Lively wait staff. Will definitely come back for more. The Pad Thai is outstanding! The Tiramisu desert was delicious! Although the place has pages of Japanese and Sushi and hibachi dishes, we chose to pick form their Thai section – the Right decision.

I got there yesterday around 9 and they said you can only do to go. I ordered edamame, salmon avocado sushi, and spicy mango with chicken. The staff was very nice. The place was empty. I guess it’s because they close at 9:30. It took about 15 minutes, which is not bad at all. The edamame and sushi were great. The mango with chicken, on the other hand, was less so. The mango was a strange color and tasted sour. I don’t want to say spoiled, but it tastes like that. Overall, a nice place. There was a downfall with the mango. Restaurant owners, be careful, and cooks always taste before serving each dish.
