The broth of their pho is decent, but the quality and options of ingredients are lacking. No tripe, or tendon, or even meat ball here. The rare beef is cut thick, and since it’s low quality, it’s relatively chewy. The service was good, but food came slower than expected. The restaurant is small and cramped. It’s a good spot if you need to get that pho hit and you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way for this one.

I have gotten pho soup often before and it was pretty good. But today I am not sure what happened. My chicken pho was full of weird chicken pieces, full of tendons, really chewy. It’s like they scraped leg meat as opposed to the usual chicken thighs. $20 for that is really ridiculous. I won’t come back.

Nice little restaurant with a handful of vegan and vegetarian options. I started off with some vegé imperial rolls which were tasty and densely packed. For our mains, we got the vegetarian pho (made with veg broth) and tofu crispy noodles. The pho was good and full of tofu and veggies. The crispy noodles itself lacked some flavor but the tofu and veggies were decently flavored. Staff were really nice, good experience overall.

wow our server was so friendly! we came in about 30 minutes before close (i know i know) but he was so happy to serve us. the pho was AMAZING with huge portions – broth was perfectly seasoned, veggies were crisp, and the tofu was very flavourful. excellent price as well.

It’s a cute little place! The price is very fair, we paid 13$ for the medium bowl, and 14$ for the large beef pho. Service was also very quick.
Taste wise, it’s okay, the broth is a little too salty and the meat was a bit chewy. You can also see in the picture that the green veggies are looking a little sad. The noodles were really nice though, and the portions are good for the price!

Authentic Vietnamese dishes, the pho broths of both chicken and rare beef are delicious. Quite a limited menu, but generously plated. The service is also fast and efficient!

The young man who served me and my family was very attentive. It made for an all around pleasant experience. We had imperial rolls, chicken soup and the grilled meats plate— all of the food definitely tastes like it’s made with love! If you like spicy food I recommend the papaya salad it was excellent

Super fast service; a little bit too fast in terms of service! I sat down, the moment I opened the menu, the waiter already asking my order. I told him I need more time, so he walked away, and 15 seconds later, he came and asked what I wanted I had 15 seconds to read the menu! Glad to see they are offering spicy soup, which is my favorite type of Vietnamese soup. Enjoyed the medium bowl of super hot soup, on a chilly, nice flavor and quite enjoyable!

I come here often as it is near my office. I quite like this place – the food is good and consistent every time I come here. Everything I have tried has been good. The soup and grilled pork are my favourites, the imperial roll is also very good.
I just want to say however, one thing that dampens my experience, are the 2 fish alone in a small tank.
Keeping fish in an empty tank is harmful because it deprives them of essential hiding spaces, environmental enrichment, and biological filtration, leading to stress, poor health, and increased risk of disease.
I know they are just goldfish, but, I can’t help but feel badly whenever I see them (they look stressed!!!).

Sometimes you go out for a meal and get exactly what you want. This was my experience at Pho Rachel which I tried for the first time today. We just wanted a really nice warm pho with a rich broth and good meat and noodles on a cold day – no trying to make it fancy, just the basic tastiness of pho! – and it delivered exactly that. Both the rare beef and spicy beef soups were excellent and the broth was super flavourful. Good balance of meat/noodles/onions/broth. We also had spring rolls with peanut sauce which were fresh and delicious. Unless you’re starving the medium is plenty and a very reasonable price. Great straightforward, fast, and tasty lunch option in the Plateau.
