A perfect day off that I looking for. A light and healthy brunch with a truly excellent cup of coffee at Boro Bean in Hopewell. ☕️
The atmosphere here is so peaceful and exactly what I needed. The best part? I discovered they have their own little “public library” right inside the store! I found this fantastic Bess Crawford mystery, Bitter Truth by Charles Todd, to dive into.

We stopped here as we are visiting from England and we had such a lovely breakfast!
Delicious bagels and delicious coffee to go with it too. I had a bagel with sausage, egg and cheese and an iced latte with hazelnut syrup. The everything bagel was so so good!
Not pictured but we also ordered the waffles, salmon lax bagel and black bean burrito and they all looked very good too.
Would really recommend!

This café has become my favorite spot for coffee. The team is always welcoming and genuinely cares about making sure you get exactly what you like. I really admire that they offer free coffee to first responders—it shows how thoughtful they are. Their lunch options are delicious too, especially the turkey sandwich, which I order almost every time. Always a great experience here!

Really nice local brunch spot. The food was delicious and they feature local artists inside for their artwork. The coffee was really good, the breakfast tacos were delicious and the sandwich was yummy! The staff was also very friendly. The cookies were alright. The matcha latte was good, not overly sweet.

Beautiful little coffee shop in a nice small town. Stopped in for a small breakfast bite and it did not disappoint. Their baked goods are to die for. Amazing pumpkin banana bread!!! It was moist and flavorful. The bagel was fantastic and lived up the the NJ bagel hype! I got one of their fall latte specials, apple butter and it was so good, all the autumn goodness you could want in every sip. The staff were polite and amazing. Definitely worth the stop.

Boro Bean Cafe has a nice atmosphere, but I was a very disappointed with the food. It’s extremely basic, with higher prices. Food was pretty bland, with no flavor. Also, I was bummed that they were out of a lot of items at 11 am on a Tuesday. It’s frustrating when a place doesn’t keep its menu up-to-date, as they advertised it on the board. Additionally, service was terrible. The two boys up front were not friendly or helpful when asked about recommendations. I asked for two boxes, he couldn’t hear me the first time, after I had repeated myself he shoved THREE it in my chest. Personally I find it very rude and I will not be returning. IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS FOR THE SERVICE I WOULD… what a shame. Overall, it’s an okay spot, but IT IS NOT WORTH THE COST. We went spent over 40 dollars, on our 2 plates of bare minimum food. Also the photo of the orange juice and windex just makes my stomach drop. Definitely do not recommend.

You have got to stop in and see owners, Johnny and Ellen Abernathy. This is a small town, everyone knows everyone and they have some of the most delicious food you might have ever had. Their special wood fired bagels aren’t available every day, but when they post that they are you need to run down and get them. They offer Wi-Fi and front porch and yard seating. Open early for a great latte. Their paninis are scrumptious. Definitely not a place to miss.

Boro Bean truly is an undercelebrated gem in our community. Every visit unveils a masterclass in culinary innovation, especially with their breakfast dishes. The “Sunny Farmhouse Delight” is a case in point—a flawless ensemble of sun-dried tomatoes, the freshest arugula, creamy avocado, and an impeccably cooked egg with the most luscious runny yolk, all nestled within a perfectly toasted ciabatta. It’s a symphony of flavors and textures in every mouthful.
And let’s talk about the coffee! Sourced from top-tier beans, each cup boasts a rich aroma and smooth finish, offering the perfect pick-me-up whether you’re starting your day or taking a mid-afternoon break. It’s evident that they’ve honed their brews to perfection.
My companion’s “Boro Farm Breakfast” was equally impressive. Crispy bacon that was neither too thin nor overly thick, eggs scrambled to velvety perfection, golden roasted potatoes with just the right hint of rosemary, and a slice of their house-made sourdough that seemed to echo the very essence of comfort food.
Now, while browsing reviews, I did notice a sprinkling of negative comments. But frankly, they smack of the nitpicky complaints we’ve all seen from those who seem to revel in being hard to please. Don’t be swayed. Boro Bean offers an authentic, heartwarming experience that resonates long after the last bite or sip. It’s a testament to what passionate cooking and brewing can achieve, and more people should be singing its praises. Highly recommended!

I almost had an allergy reaction trying their carrot almond muffin because they gave a banana walnut one instead w/o telling me. I’m allergic to walnut I could’ve died. They were also so stale, I think they’ve been sitting out for days. Could’ve chipped a tooth. The manager’s a jerk btw, tell your husband to put his vape down.

Love this local cafe. Usual pit stop on a bike ride. Coffee, food and muffins are great. Prices are reasonable too. I love vibe on the weekends.
