I eat a lot of Mexican food in the area. This restaurant is the best flavor, service, and atmosphere. Food is absolutely delicious. Amazing chips and salsa. Hands down the best Mexican food in central Alabama!

We stopped in for a late lunch and it was our first visit. We are so glad that we did. The service was excellent. Our server was Myra. The food was hot and really delicious. I had the Pablano Chili Relleno. It was really good. The cheese enchilada was very good. The taco was tasty. Loved the rice and beans. The dish was very oven hot and fresh. We will definitely be back for a dinner to try the margaritas.

The food was good. The problem was the service. The waitress was not friendly but we had to keep asking for items because she would not check on us. The staff had little children there that was unruly and ran around uncontrollable. Had to ask for drink. Had to ask for ticket. Will not cone back on weekend maybe try days.

The atmosphere is is good. Very clean. The overall service was good as well. Very friendly and likable. There are 3 reasons I gave the 3 star rating. Number one is because the food is mediocre. Not terrible but most of the other local Mexican
restaurants in the area are little better in terms of freshness and flavor. Number two, the serving portions are much smaller than what you receive else where for the same dishes. Number three, the biggest reason by far for the 3 star rating is the prices. This restaurant is very very expensive for the small portions you receive.
For example the average cost per person for the last two trips was around $20-25 each person. All we ordered were standard dishes like beef burrito with rice and beans and a sweet tea. I hate to be so hard on this place but l would go more often if the prices were a little lower and the serving sizes were larger than a kids meal.

Our first time to visit El Mariachi was today for lunch. The service was prompt & excellent. The lunch menu is extensive & very reasonably priced. The chips & salsa were tasty. The fajita quesadilla was delicious! The beans & rice are homemade & taste so much better than any I have had before. The vegetarian enchiladas were very good. The decor is attractive with bright colors & the restaurant is very clean. Staff is friendly & attentive. Will definitely return there soon!

It’s amazing. Best Mexican food I’ve had that tasted fresh as always. Best service and atmosphere. They are closed only on Sundays. Give them a shot you won’t be disappointed but you will be full.

This is my Go-To spot for green chicken enchiladas. They have a great lunch special, delicious margaritas, and seem to be family owned. The restaurant is always clean, the chips are almost always freshly fried, and the salsa is tasty. Since it is a small restaurant…parking can be difficult if you don’t get there before peak hours.
