We had a lovely dinner here for the first time! We were seated right away and the garlic bread for starters was incredible! Just what I was craving! I had the spaghetti carbonara which was so delicious and my husband had the schiacciata which very tasty! The service was great, everyone was friendly. 10/10 recommend ☺️

Came here with my sister and son in a Monday night and almost had the whole place to ourself. The bread and homemade mozzarella appetizer were incredible. We got the mushroom ravioli, pizza modena, and spaghetti carbonara and both were very good. My sister and I shared two cocktails that had Deep Eddy vodka in them– the grapefruit and the Austin one with OJ and peach. We both agreed the Austin one was the best of the two. (Oh, and my family lives in Austin and I’m a big Deep Eddy Vodka fan, so I was delighted that they not only offer cocktails with this brand but even have Ball jar glasses with their branding on it!) We came during a heat wave and I had to get my fan out, so I do wish they could have had it a bit cooler but it’s also wise to conserve energy during a heat wave. I just don’t enjoy myself nearly as much when I’m hot. Server was excellent, very attentive and helpful. We’ll return!

Me & my husband have been going to this resto since we met. Every time we are in Astoria this place was one of the top options. Small family owned restaurant, which we have of our own as well so we always loved this place. The last time we went with our children ages 5 & 9 we ordered each of them the Petto Di Pollo Paradiso because they love it. When the waitress came over to take our order she was very kind & friendly to our children, she even suggested to substitute the side to pasta for them which we already planned on doing. At the end the check came & there were 2 extra charges of 6$ each. We asked our waitress what the charges were for thinking it was a mistake but she confirmed it was for the substitute for the pasta which we found strange (never been charged extra before for this dish). We didn’t say anything, the waitress had been there for many years. We paid our bill which had come out to 125$ & left. In the end each child paid 30$ for their meal instead of 23$. To charge an extra 6$ for a small bowl of pasta & 2 spoonfuls of the same sauce the chicken was cooked in, which already came as a side & for a child, would pretty much confirm the last time we would eat here. So disappointing.

I thought it looked like decent Italian from the reviews, and it was below decent, ESPECIALLY for the price. We did not have the best service, the penne alla vodka did not taste like vodka pasta at all. Save yourself the time and money and choose somewhere else.

This spot gives a glimpse into what a no-nosense southern italian restaurant could look like if it was dropped right into queens.

Everything about this place is un-pretenious and delicious. Don’t come here expecting 100% perfect service (servers may fight about who’s slacking off) or expecting the best pasta you had in your life, but come for a friendly neighborhood Italian restaurant with good, homecooked food and wine at good prices.

Its another Brick Oven Pizzeria but with a great deal more on menu. Brick oven is kinda pricey…because The crust is so thin One 12″ is a meal for an adult. A 16″ is for a hungry man. So its like 30$ for pizza. BUT; the quality of sauce and toppings makes up for it.
Most people and even some stupid reviewers are expecting the traditional NY Pizza. Where one slice feeds 2 toddlers or one kid. Only 3 slices with just one extra topping is a hungry man’s dinner. 4 if you’re a beast; a half a pie. One NY pie can pretty much feed a family of 2 parents 2 kids 10 and under. This; is NOT that; find another joint. The tiny crust seems to have taken over Astoria; Im new to the area and I only found one I reviewed.
The forno Siciliano is definitely a treat for me but I dust off a 16″ by myself at 180 lbs.

Food was good but $10 for sparkling water? ??? Is insane!!!!!
Don’t offer the water “as a free” if later you will charge $10 for that! (the prices of water don’t appear on the Menu) and Your server was very unprofessional! We will never come back again!
