Nice little place to grab a quick bite. Cheese burgers and hotdogs are great. Food was fresh hot fries was good. Atmosphere gets a two because the building is definitely showing its age

I usually love Chris’s, after eating here this past week, I got a severe case of food poisoning. I will not be back. There are health standards here not being practiced.
After paying I noticed their health score is a 92.5. be careful about eating here.

Locals know where to get a good hot dog. And a rollie dog with chili and slaw is a classic! Served with hot french fries with homemade ranch for dipping plus sweet tea with crushed ice to wash it down. The salads and burgers are also delicious. Service is always great at Chris’s!

I live 2.5 hours away and I’d almost go back just to get a burger.. u can taste the freshness in their ingredients and as one of the reviews mention they honestly do melt in your mouth. New second favorite and if your ranked next to in&out burger your doing something right.

Exactly what I want from a small-town burger joint. Very sweet servers who made us feel right at home, delicious burger baskets and fresh sides, and a charming atmosphere that likely hasn’t changed in years. Would absolutely visit again!

Great place to eat. Also this restaurant is a all cash restaurant.

I’ve passed here a hundred times and finally stopped to try Chris’s food. We had hotdogs, hamburgers and French fries. Everything was really good and our waitress was nice.

I was very disappointed when I was asked to leave the building because I had my service dog with me. When I tried to explain they cannot refuse a service dog . The owner said it was her choice to deny any animal including a service dog. It is a NC law that service animals cannot be refused in any restaurant!. My family had been eating here for years, but not any more. Not to mention there’s not what do you call it in a restaurant when they have that there is no restaurant service grade posted anywhere. I’m surprised it’s not been shut down, the place is filthy!

Disclaimer: this will be one of my most boring reviews. That’s because outside of a decent lunch, Chris’s is pretty boring.

The bright cheerfulness of the server was not enough to offset the depressing dimness inside Chris’s. They have album covers from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s adorning the walls, but they, too, fall short of brightening the ambiance. It is clean and tidy, just poorly lit.

I ordered the Rollie burger, a hot dog all the way, fries, and a sweet tea.

Rollie Burger: Good flavor with two smallish patties and fresh toppings. Competent.

Hot dog: Pink wiener was surprisingly flavorful. The slaw had a good taste, but was too wet, causing a somewhat soggy bun by the end. The chili was completely tasteless—among the most bland I’ve ever encountered in my whole life.

Crinkle fries: hot, fresh, and very good.

Sweet tea was well above average.

Overall, Chris’s has a friendly staff who prepares and serves a good lunch…in a dim and boring place.

I will make this ever-so-slightly more amusing by adding a photo of the menu, including the add from “Tasty Bakery”, which has a severe grammatical error.
