This place matches my imagination for a pastie shop. Love it from the simple packaging to the friendly down to earth small town charm. Next time I will eat at the counter instead of devouring a traditional pastie while headed south on Highway 51 to land of no pasties. Thank goodness I was able to pick up some frozen ones for my next road trip.

We stopped based on previous reviews. Enjoyed the nostalgia about the miners and this historic pastie shop, but the dining room severely needed cleaning and updating. Had a traditional and a veggie pastie. Both were OK. The fillings were generously portioned and not dry. The pastry was dry and disappointing, though. We had hoped for something remarkable rather than just OK.

What a surprise our route to Bond Falls. We were served hot scrumptious organic beef, potatoes, onions and salt pasties.

So cute little shop it looks like takeout only unless you wanna eat outside if there’s no seating inside. We have several varieties of frozen pasties and the Traditional variety are available hot. The customer service was very good.

So disappointed…. We drove 2 hours to stock up on my FAVORITE meal prior to a 6 week surgical recovery. We had previously stopped on a Saturday so we knew they would be open. We waited outside for almost an hour to see if they would open. Never did. I’m so sad.

Best pastie I’ve ever had! Perfect consistency. Not too wet, not too dry. Fantastic crust, flaky but also nicely chewy. All ingredients done to perfection. Gotta get the rutabagas!

Found this pasty shop on Google. Its did not disappoint, the pasties were excellent, one of the best we have ever had! We had the Cornish and ate them right there. The place is small but clean and cute. Owner talked with us and was very friendly. We were so happy we found this place. Wished we could have bought some to take home but had no way to keep them frozen till we got there . Thank You!!!

I’m completely blown away by the way Joe’s Pasty Shop has changed. I think it’s absolutely amazing inside, they have come so far!!! The quality of the food & service is by far the best!!! They have stayed with tradition with their pasties over the years & kept it Family Friendly.
