Woman behind the counter asked if it was our first time ordering their chicken. It was, yes. She recommend we go with the mild spice. Thank you for the recommendation. It was great and not too spicy. I think if we had went one level higher, would be too spicy. Fountain drinks are very limited. Other reviewers complained about their food being cold. This was certainly not the case for us. Food came out piping hot and freshly cooked. The chicken bites was a favorite.
Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because drink selections are limited and the bone in wings plus the sauce could’ve tasted slightly better.

This place left me feeling confused.
Walked in at 815 pm, when the place closes at 9 pm. I was told food was take out only. That was weird but ok.
Ordered spicy wings, which per the menu included celery.
Wings were delicious but were definitely not spicy. And no celery was to be found in my bag. That also left me feeling confused…. ♂️
Was hoping to have a pleasant sit down meal after working a full day. Ended up eating my meal in my car so my food wouldn’t be cold once I got home.
And also confused why the food takes so long to cook. It’s definitely freshly made, I suggest owners put a sign up indicating each order takes up to 20 minutes to make and that the dining room closes at 8 pm. Had I know those 2 items I would probably have gone somewhere else for dinner tonight.
I’ll be back but earlier than 8 pm with plenty of time to enjoy my meal.

First time here! Chicken was flavorful & juicy! Even the chicken with no seasoning had a great taste. Reasonable price, I paid about $48 for two adults & one child. The shake was not too sugary – definitely would come back! Just an fyi mild still has a bit of cayenne for those who don’t like anything spicy, I recommend plain.

Grabbed this to go on a whim and really enjoyed what I had. Ordered medium and it was a good spice level, but if you are sensative to spice, I would opt for the mild as it was hotter than I expected. Their portions are great for the price too. Was worried when I saw waffel fries because you usually only get a handful, but their bag was loaded. Will be coming back for sure.

Got the chicken and waffles combo that comes with 4 tenders and 4 waffles with syrup and their sauce on the side. DO NOT get the waffles, so hard and dry even the syrup didn’t help, in the garbage they went, I’m not even sure why they would serve that to anybody. Well, anywho, the chicken is very tender and juicy and you can chose your spice level. I went for medium spice and it was enough for me, but be daring! Service was accommodating. We will be back to try the sandwiches

The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Chicken wings and Chicken sando!! The staff was extremely helpful.

Got 2 orders of the chicken tenders, the chicken was pretty good. Nice sized and juicy, but for $15 and some change for one order, the portions suck. Only 4 tenders and i mean like what, 10 total fries? The lady was nice at the register too but for us to be the only ones in the restaurant where it’s not busy, the portion is unacceptable. $15 for 4 tenders and 10 fries. What a joke

I wasn’t sure what to expect walking into Hangry Joe’s, but I left seriously impressed. The chicken was perfectly cooked crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. I ordered the medium spice chicken sandwich, and it had just the right amount of kick without overpowering the flavor. The slaw and pickles added a nice crunch, and the bun held everything together without falling apart.The waffle fries were hot and well-seasoned, and I appreciated that everything came out fresh. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was clean and well organized. it’s actually good food. I’ll definitely be back to try more on the menu. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something flavorful, fast, and satisfying.
