I have passed by this place one to many times. Stopped by the other day to try it out and it was delicious.
My 3 year old got the pancakes in the shape of that famous mouse with scrambled eggs and bacon. All cooked very well.
As for me, I had Mexican style eggs Benedic, which I was skeptical at first to try, and was blown away by the flavor.
They serve freshly squeezed OJ and great espresso drinks.
This place is a hidden gem.

This brunch spot is an absolute gem! Even though the restaurant was super busy, the energy was lively and welcoming. The atmosphere is very family-friendly — perfect for a weekend outing with loved ones. Despite the crowd, the service was efficient and friendly. Now, the food? Absolutely amazing! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put a lot of care into each dish. Definitely worth the wait — we’ll be back for sure!

Stopped here for breakfast and they did not disappoint. Every single item I tried tasted homemade. Waffles had a nice little crunch but soft in the center, sausage was very well seasoned, eggs were nice and fluffy, and the hash browns were so good I ordered an extra side of it. Every employee I encountered there was very friendly. Will be visiting this restaurant again when I’m in South Padre. Highly recommend!!

I broke my coffee pot, so I initially went in for coffee only. However, it smelled really good and instantly made me hungry. So I sat to eat. I got the chilaquiles with Verde sauce and pork. It was AMAZING! It was a lot of food also, I took most of it home. I would’ve liked it if it was spicier, but the flavor was still great.

Josephine’s is amazing with delicious, home-cooked food. I had the chilaquiles and they were incredible. Everyone in our group loved their meals. The chef is clearly very talented and the wait staff was friendly and attentive.
We went on a Sunday and while it was a little busy and parking was a bit tricky, we got lucky and found a spot nearby. Now I see why it’s so popular—the food is outstanding.
We sat outside with our dog and my wife was happy to find great vegetarian options. The interior is nicely decorated and very clean. I highly recommend this place.

So we wanted to experience Brunch off the island… so over the bridge to Port Isabell we went … later I learned that there was a sister restaurant on South Padre Island .
it was Amazing! As a vegetarian the options are quite limited in Texas. So I ordered an omelette with hollandaise sauce…. Unfortunately, my beautiful server did not understand me so it was made with bacon. Completely my fault anyway she didn’t think twice to have it remade absolutely perfectly in a prompt fashion. I was very impressed. The server was super courteous, and the breakfast was outstanding. they also have a very cute boutique region with some tasteful items.

BEST chilaquiles at Port Isabel by far. This cute little eatery sells breakfast from open to 2pm close. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Can’t wait to try their second location on the island.
