What a nice little diner. I have passed it a number of times and never stopped. This is a great place for your typical diner breakfasts. It has the feel of a city diner. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. Come with some friends for a cono over coffee or come alone and plop down at the counter.

If you can get past the uninviting entrance and a glass door that hadn’t seen Windex in a long time, the food is very good. A bit tattered around the edges, a working blue collar class of diners but the you’d be surprised how great the breakfast food is! Real ham off the bone and plenty of it. Coffee ☕ refills and a friendly waitress make this historic South Hammond diner, a great experience.

Went to Harvey’s with the family and what a great choice!! Cindi was sweet the moment I opened the door til I was leaving. She provided great service and although she was quite busy, she didn’t miss a beat. She had coffee filled up, and I noticed that as soon as the food hit the window, she delivered the food asap!! I hate when my food sits up there, but she was on it.

To go I brought it home and it was nothing but a soggy mess with pecans on the top. We also ordered 2 eggs with corned beef hash and rye toast the rye toast was burned. We asked for no butter They buttered it with the nasty butter oil mix that All restaurant use that’s why we asked for no butter. Not to mention the waitress, throwing things and threatening to go home. While my food was setting there getting colder by the minute. Beware Their menu prices are not the same as what is online. Have loved this place for many years.But don’t think I’ll ever go back.

Excellent little diner! Great lunch spot during our roadtrip. I ordered a tuna melt, fries and chicken rice soup. Everything was delicious and Cindy our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Definitely will be coming back next time we are passing through!

This restaurant truly lives up to the hype! I have come here multiple times now, and the customer service has been amazing. The staff was patient and offered excellent dish recommendations. The chicken skillet was one of their top recommendations, and it did not disappoint. The owner himself cooks the food and it turns out amazing.
The menu is very diverse, having many different things to choose from. Not only this, but they offer good portions of food, enough to get you full, which many other places struggle with.
The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you are getting and the service, making this excellent value and worth your money. I will be coming back for sure.

Great service. Great food. Was greated warmly by Miss Mary and sat at a comfortable table. I don’t do booths. Menu selection was very good. The place has the old school mom and pop feel.
