10 pm.
The staff are the absolute best—warm, fast, and ready with every topping or dipping option you could dream up. You want ranch? Hot honey? Crushed red pepper like your life depends on it? They’ve got you.
I got the Hawaiian, which was exactly what I wanted—cheesy, sweet, salty, and satisfying in a way only pineapple and ham can explain. I did try one of their meat-heavy options too, which leaned a bit dry, but to be fair, I usually steer clear of meat-forward slices anyway. Their strength really lies in the classics and the cloudlike glory that is their Sicilian slice—thick, fluffy, golden-edged perfection. Easily one of the best in the city.
There’s also a solid amount of seating, which in NYC pizza terms is basically a luxury. No need to hover awkwardly while balancing your slice and scanning for a table—you can sit, enjoy, and pretend for a second that you’re not on a city sidewalk schedule.
In short: Famous Famiglia is everything a great pizza place should be—unpretentious, delicious, and full of character. Come for the Sicilian, stay for the charm, and don’t forget to nod respectfully at the Sandler photo on your way out.
The food was delicious We got the pepperoni and sausage (traditional) as well as chicken and broccoli (random). Everything was delicious and surprisingly high quality for the price point.
And the AC is less than mid, it’s poor. Sweated my butt off in here trying to eat.
Pros:
< than $4 for a slice, which is rare these days.
More options, other than just pizza
Prices are moderate.
Cons:
Crust is isn’t thin- it’s borderline too thick. Good chew.
Ingredients are mid.
Overall:
Not a destination but if you get the itch and you’re walking by, it’s not a bad. I wouldn’t walk out of my way for anything in here though. Staff is really friendly- so there’s that.
With its convenient location, I’d definitely stop here again if I am in the area. They do have more options than just pizza that I’ll need to try next time.
