Best Italian in Philly! The lobster ravioli special was superb and I recommend the creme brulé. Seating is a little tight, but absolutely worth the quality food and friendly owner.

Amazing pastas and pizzas. We came at the busiest time during the weekend and we were still able to go in without a reservation. The staff are considerate and accommodating. A very good dinner to end the night! The location has street parking. The desert was fantastic!

Small restaurant with great food and customer service. I was able to get a table the same day that I made the reservation (it was for a Friday evening). Although the restaurant was crowded, I was warmly greeted. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the food options and sauces. I definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for Italian cuisine.

I’ve been to this restaurant before and had a fantastic experience, great service, plenty of gluten-free options, and we were seated right away. Unfortunately, tonight was the complete opposite.
I understand it’s a Saturday night and busier than usual, so when I was told it would be about an hour wait for a table of four, I said no problem and gave my number. We went to a nearby bar to wait and came back around the time they told us to expect a table.
That’s when the frustration began. The hostess, Alice, gave me multiple excuses about how there were a lot of parties with reservations, despite several open tables clearly available that could’ve easily seated us. When I asked if it’d be another five minutes, I was told twenty. I waited. Twenty minutes came and went, the same tables still sat empty prioritizing those who haven’t shown up on time while my name remains on the docket.
After nearly two hours total, I went back up to ask again and got more weak excuses that made no sense. If you’re going to take a name, a number, and give estimated times, what’s the point if you’re just going to ignore walk-ins entirely and feed them empty promises?
Alice offered a half-hearted apology, handed me a card with the restaurant’s number, and told me to “call ahead next time” then walked away like she couldn’t be bothered. That was the final straw.
It’s incredibly disappointing to see a place I once recommended to friends turn into a disorganized mess that can’t own up to their mistakes. I get that things get busy, but honesty and basic customer respect go a long way, neither of which I saw tonight.

Unfortunately made a reservation here, confirmed the reservation, and then stood at the hostess table for over 15 min before anyone even acknowledged the people in front of me, not even me. Looks like it’s a good place for Italian food though as it was very busy, but I was very disappointed as I had a reservation and received no service from it.

We had the lobster ravioli and grilled salmon, the food was acceptable for the price but nothing special.
Service was slow and haphazard. People who arrived after us were served before us and we were served before people who arrived before us.
My biggest concern is that I left a $6 (11%) tip that was more than the service deserved. When I cross checked my receipt and bank statement I found a $4 discrepancy.
At best, someone made a mistake keying in $10 instead of $6.
Obviously, this is a small amount of money but it raises questions about the staff in this restaurant.

Bland tasting Barilla-brand pasta floating on a thin, soupy red sauce. Flavorless, unseasoned grilled chicken. None of it tasted fresh or made in-house. Anyone who thinks this passes for quality cooking thinks that any food served to them on a plate in a restaurant setting means it must be automatically good.

Just go to Dante & Luigi’s if you want homemade-style Italian cooking instead of low quality Barilla pasta you could easily make at home way better than this place does.

When I called for a reservation, I told the gentleman the time of the show we would be seeing that evening. He told me what time I needed for the reservation. Okay. It seemed early. We got to the restaurant, and maybe two tables were taken. I thought he had been messing with me. Twenty minutes later, it was packed. He had done right by me. All that said, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service was top notch. And the food….the thing I hate about places like this is I can eat only so much. The food is so good, you hate to have limits. All in all, it was an excellent experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

it’s unfortunate i have to give this place a one star. i know many people in philadelphia enjoy this place… but tonight i went for my birthday and i had one of the worst experiences of my life. i had made a reservation for 12 , weeks in advance for my birthday with friends. When we arrived we arrived to a huge line of people waiting to get sat. most of them who had no reservation. there was no hostess so they kept on seating people who had zero reservations until i finally had to flag someone down saying “ HEY, i have a reservation for 6:30”.

They had zero idea that i was coming even though they called earlier that afternoon confirming. They had 2-4 parties before they finally spoke to me. There was no tables and was forced to wait nearly 40 minutes for my table that i had booked weeks in advance.

the service was just awful once seated. the staff forgot about us. never really gave us a menu. we had to flag someone down more than once to ask for a wine opener. on the third try they finally came over to take our order as we had sat for nearly over 30 minutes with zero attention of a waiter or staff member.

the food was very subpar. my friend ordered clams and spaghetti and that came out completely incorrect. they then came back with her order and the clams were filled with sand. to say this dinner was bad, is an understatement. this place truly only cares about filling tables and not acknowledging reservations or the QUALITY of the meal. i will not be returning.
