I stopped by in need of a cake for my son’s 11th birthday with only a day’s notice. The ladies were able to have it ready by the next morning, and it is incredible. I’m actually eating a piece right now, and this might be the best-tasting cake I have ever eaten. Hands down 5/5—I will never get a cake from Food Lion or any other place ever again!

We stopped by this bakery at the Pinehurst Barbecue Festival yesterday and picked up two oatmeal raisin cookies, a loaf of lemon blueberry sourdough, and a few other treats. Hands down, that was the BEST sourdough bread I’ve ever had—absolutely phenomenal! Even my family said we need to stock up for the holidays. The cookies and other items were delicious too.
They seem like a small, family-owned business, and they deserve to be known. Do yourself a favor and check them out—you won’t be disappointed!

Mostly, my experiences here have been wonderful – such as the Italian Cream Cupcake pictured! OMG, it was heavenly Also, in summer they had a Key Lime Scone which I loved. The pizza is kind of meh, and the cinnamon rolls are better if you eat them fresh rather than next morning. But altogether, Carolina Moon Bakery is a perfect addition to the Hertford landscape!!

I worked w/ Miss Jen @ Carolina Moon Bakery to make a cake for a business function @ Tarheel Fireplace & Grill Shop. I asked for a cake that “represents”. They did such a great job! The chocolate cake was dang skippy delicious (almost had a slight fudgey quality?)and the presentation was awesome. It was like ‘cake’ and ‘art’ had a baby. Love this local business. . Tried 2 cupcakes and a cheesecake. Wife could not finish the cupcake that she started because she didn’t like it, i ate the cheesecake but it’s not the best cheesecake and our daughter loved the chocolate cupcake.

Went the for cinnamon rolls and fresh baked bread. Everything was really good and fresh. The eclairs are especially good. Been there a few times and it is always very good, worth the drive.

Drop dead yummy carrot cake. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect slice of carrot cake and I’ve found it! They also sell fresh pizza and pizza dough. I’m happy my friend suggested this baker.

Purchased some goodies from a local holiday market today and couldn’t wait to get home to try my apricot/white chocolate scone. It’s perfect. Not too sweet and can taste the apricots. Can’t wait to try the cookies and bread pudding next. Super nice and look forward to trying more!

Went to the Manteo open market Saturday unfortunately banana bread was very DRY! The jalepeno cheese bread was good but banana bread not at all very hard guess left over.
