We recently visited Frida’s Tacos and Tequila in Ocala for dinner with a party of 9, and the entire experience was nothing short of amazing. We arrived right on time for our reservation and were immediately seated, which is impressive for a newly opened restaurant, especially with a large group.
From start to finish, the service was outstanding. Our main server was incredible, and the amount of attentive support staff working seamlessly behind the scenes was honestly impressive. Drinks stayed full, food arrived perfectly timed, and every request was handled with a smile — it truly felt like fine-dining level service in a fun, vibrant setting.
The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. Even the liquor prices were pleasantly surprising. We tried the 4-glass Margarita Flight, and all four were absolutely delicious. At $19.99, it’s an unbeatable value and a must-try.
The decor and atmosphere deserve special recognition. The restaurant is stunning — colorful, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. Not a single corner was overlooked, and it’s clear no expense was spared. It’s the kind of place where you can’t stop looking around because every detail is so well done.
Overall, the entire dinner experience — service, food, drinks, pricing, and ambiance — was truly top notch. Frida’s Tacos and Tequila is an incredible addition to Ocala’s dining scene and is absolutely worth more than five stars. We can’t wait to go back and will be recommending it to everyone we know!

We went to try this new mexican restaurant on a Saturday night around 8:30 pm. It was a hit! They had this dancing robot walking around, a mechanical bull outside, a beautiful patio area set up, and fun music playing. I’m not sure if it’s something they do all the time or what but we had a blast! Then the food was good too! We ordered guacamole and they came and made it table side for you. It was fresh and delicious. I ordered the burrito special for the night, and it was delicious. I probably wouldn’t get the steak again, but that’s personal preference. My boyfriend tried it and loved it. He got the Mexican Mole and it was also good. We will be back for sure!

Absolutely great! Walked in and the decorative Mexican art is beautiful. We were seated right away and served delicious chips with salsa. Within minutes a young lady came to our table and made some amazing guacamole for us. We ate all the chips – they had to bring us another serving Our server was so sweet – they wear a flower crown, like Frida Kahlo’s – and she let us take a photo with her We ordered Carne Asada and Birria tacos, and the biggest Burrito I’ve seen in a long time! Everything was yummy, but the Birria tacos were amazing! This was a wonderful late lunch – GRACIAS!♥️

Celebrated one of my girls Saturday night at Fridas and WOW!!!!! First time there since they opened in the area. 10/10 everything!!!! Food, service and atmosphere are a total vibe!!!! It was about 15 of us celebrating our friend and the staff was on point!!!! Shout out to Genesis

This place is so beautiful inside and out. The bar was nicely well done. I am very picky about my drinks so I was so happy when my bartender was able to modify any drink to my liking. The homemade salsas were amazing so were the large variety of the hot sauces at the salsa bar. Overall this a 10/10 restaurant I highly recommend and will be coming back.

This place hits all the right notes! The first thing that impressed me was the Margs, we got a flight with 4 different flavors and all of them were FRESH. We hate margs done with pre-made mixes, and it was clear to taste that these were not that way. Even some of the sweeter flavors like blueberry and Pineapple Coconut. We asked the waiter and she informed us that they squeeze all of the juices every morning. That in and of itself would be enough for me to come back.
Then… the food came out and man was it beautiful! I got the Fajitas Cancun which came out in a grilled Pineapple. Presentation was on point, flavors were top notch, proteins were great quality (shrimp really tasted fresh). Everyone’s portion sizes were very generous too. Not one of us at the table was able to finish our meal and everyone took a to go box.
On top of all that, the ambience was great, love the authentic artwork in the restaurant. The service was attentive and courteous, the timing of the food was fast, and the manager came out at the end of everyone’s meal and asked how things were. 10/10, nothing more to ask. If I lived here this would be my spot.
