Visited SoCal Subs desiring a solid grinder for lunch. Ended up ordering a tuna sandwich and decided to try their “Half Pound Cheesy Bear” (Garlic Cheese Bread). Good heavens, they are NOT lying when they talk about putting 1/2 pound of cheese on it. It is truly delicious, but SIGNIFICANTLY taxing on the GI with that amount of cheese.

The tuna sandwich was quite tasty with a creamy, well seasoned tuna salad used.

I was left satisfied with the food, and the cost seemed like a fair charge for the sandwiches.

My only issue is their ordering system. It is exceptionally confusing. There’s lots of sticky-note type documents around the ordering systems on what to do or not do, instead of just simplifying the ordering process. Heck, even ordering with a ‘sandwich artist’ would be easier.

Is it worth a visit? Sure. I appreciate that it’s a local business, and I’d happily give them my $$$ compared to the chains (which tend to be a bit stingy with their sandwich toppings).

I don’t fully understand the desire for restaurants to create self-ordering kiosks, and in this case it made the experience more confusing than the time it may have saved.

Sandwiches are fire! I’m a fresh meat deli person. It’s my favorite thing to eat. So me telling you it’s good is a definite stamp of approval. Food is fresh. It was prepared quick. Menu selections are plentiful. Staff is super cool. Can’t remember the name of the item that I ordered but it was delicious. The sandwich was stuffed with meat. They don’t skimp at all and the topping options were nice. There are plenty of good options to fix a sandwich up just how you like it. This is way out the way for me (about an hour drive) but it was good enough for me to make the drive to go again at some point.

Because I was a first-time customer, someone behind the counter came to help navigate the computers ordering system and to tell me a little bit about their sandwiches.. If it wasn’t for him, I would not have known garlic butter on my Italian sub would set my sandwich apart from all others subs I ever had. The sandwhich was to my ordering.. Easy this, easy that, extra this.. And delicious!! The restroom I used was picked up and clean!!! A rarity in these days in many Establishments. Thank you for the GREAT service and noticing a newbie SoCal sub eater when you see one!

I was in the mood for something new for lunch. I was craving some sort of a deli sandwich, so I looked up “deli” in Google Maps. The closest place that showed up was SoCal Subs in Grand Terrace. It was only a few miles away, so I decided to give them a shot. I’m glad that I did.

The employees that I interacted with were incredibly friendly. They have ordering kiosks, and one offered to help me with it. I looked at the menu before I arrived, so I had an idea of what I wanted.

What you see here is a 6 inch “Boss,” which is ham and salami. I had it accessorized their way, minus lettuce… I just don’t care for lettuce on sandwiches. I chose provolone for the cheese. I didn’t look closely, but it was sent through a toaster/small pizza oven type deal.

I must say… it was fantastic! Very flavorful. It kind of reminded me of Quiznos… only this was better.

I will definitely be going back again.

Ok, so I know your wondering why one star short… honestly, it is because the oil and vinegar was super heavy handed on my sandwich, as it was on my husbands. However, other then that.. service, food and sodas were all delightful. I came for the first time the other day craving a sandwich and the turkey bacon avacado, was really good. It was a bit bitter due to the “essentials” but honestly getting thoes light next time and it would be my go to every time. Had to have help from the owner to figure out the kiosk as it was a bit confusing what was on each sandwich. However, he was super helpful and kind. Even gave me a taste of their soda, which is their own blend. The money shot, with their cherry is sooo good. It reminds me of a cream soda version of BIG red. Which just happends to be my favorite soda. Price is comparible to Jersey Mike’s or Jimmy John’s. However the taste and quality is FAR superior. The large sandwich had me full so, I’d say it’s good size for my appetite. Hope to come back again some time and try some of their other offerings. Honestly had the topping that had the vinegar not overpowered the taste of everything else, they would have easily gotten 5 stars. So, if your thinking about it, give it a go.

Really like this place. You can order on line and pick up when you arrive. You can customize your sandwich exactly how you want it on the app. If you order when you arrive, they have 4 kiosks available or you can order the old fashioned way. The best part: the food. The sandwiches and salads are delicious! Locally owned, convenient, great service and fantastic food. You can’t beat it!

I’ve been coming here for years and I would order my BLT to be made with love, and after years of love and a few rocky changes, I’d like to announce that me and BLT are getting married ❤️❤️

But in all seriousness, this place is legit delicious. I order my BLT (now ultimate BLT) with a book of modifications and they make it perfect almost every time.
The #37 inland empire is also so perfect, topped with all the fixings, I always get mayo on both sides and toasted bread.

The combo is great for me and my S/O because you get two items (we both get a bag of chips, but you could get cookies) and a large drink.

They also have Koolaid choices that change up.

I’d say the only thing to be aware of is the chip and cookie supply can change and you have to learn how to order on the kiosk, or on the app, but the owner is always very helpful on showing you how it’s done. And I truly miss the soft serve and cone they had back in the day…
Oh and lastly, they aren’t open Sunday, which is great for them to get to rest, but if you’re craving a bomb sandwich, you got a wait till Monday or go get a lesser one somewhere else.

EDIT UPDATE. NOW OPEN SUNDAY!! WOOT WOOT thanks guys!

Lost a customer. This place is order by touch screen and you can change every detail about your sandwich. I take a lot of stuff off including mayo which I am allergic too.
Dumb me trusted a place that has this system in place. Asked for no ham and no mayo. Get home and my $25 sandwhich was drenched in it. Guy behind the counter even verified with my wife no ham and no mayo. And I wouldn’t be writing a bad review had that not happened.

Just threw away $25. Never going back.
